Worthy Replacement for Venerable Ace Hard Rubber Pocket & Purse Comb
This is my second time purchasing this comb. I made my first purchase after finding out that Ace Pocket & Purse combs, which had been made in the USA from hard rubber, are now made in China from brittle plastic, and now have sharp-ended teeth that break off quickly. I don't know if these Clippermate combs are actually made in the USA (the listing claims they are), but their polypropylene construction definitely outlasts the new Ace combs, and the teeth are gentler on the scalp. My first pair of Clippermate combs served me well for 2-3 years, and assuming my new ones last as long, it will be quite awhile before I'll need to order more.

Sharper tips on the teeth than I hoped-look durable
I am a bit disappointed to find these have sharper tips on the teeth than I would have liked. I have sensitive skin on my scalp, and these are not acceptable. They are much sharper than the old Ace rubber combs. I gave them three stars because these are not quite as sharp as some of the cheapo combs out there, and they look durable--but I have not used them for long enough to tell. I will now spend the extra money for a Kent or similar, and wish I never bought these. Not sure about the other positive reviews regarding the sharpness of the teeth, but these are just a waste of money for me. I suppose some of the positive reviews are due to the "unbreakable" construction, compared to most newer combs. They may work for you, but as soon as I find a better comb, these will go in the trash!

Misleading photos!!
I ordered these combs based on the product description (unbreakable, not individually wrapped which is a waste to me) and the photos of combs that have both fine/close tines and broad/course tines. When the package arrived, the combs have only fine/close tines. Warnings: 1) don't believe the photos!! 2) do not hope to return the product, even if you don't open the package (like I didn't). Amazon or the vendor are not allowing these to be returned. I don't know whether the fault for this misleading advertising is with the vendor or with Amazon.

The best "Back Pocket" comb I have found in years
I bought my first truly "unbreakable" comb in the 50's at the Illinois State Fair. It was a translucent dark yellow and I was told by the pitch man that it was made from soy beans. He bent it over on itself to show me how unbreakable it was. I paid $1 for it, carried it in my back pocket for years before I lost it. I have had dozens of so called unbreakable combs from many makers, mostly the ACE brand and more recently one from Scunci. They all start by breaking off at the ends, the teeth bending and then it snaps in the middle. For many years now I buy a handful of combs at a time and just throw the broken one away and grab a new one out of the drawer. That's why I liked this offer of 5. I have had them for about a month now, have had the same one in my back pocket and have not broke off the ends or even bent any of the teeth. I am not saying it will not break, but it has lasted longer then any I have had for many years. If you carry your comb in your back pocket, I would say give these a try, I think you will like this brand.Update July 2014It's been about 9 month now since I started using this brand. I am still using comb 1 of 5, and it is still in great condition. No broken ends or bent teeth. Comb 2 of 5 is in my overnight bag in case I lose #1 away from home. Combs 3, 4 & 5 of 5 are still tucked safely away in a drawer.Update Dec 2020I have had these combs for over 7 years and just last week I broke the first one. So now I have 1 in the back pocket, 1 in the bathroom, 1 in my travel bag (not done much traveling in 2020) and 1 still in the sleeve it came in.

THIS is the comb I remember from way back when
I needed a new comb and picked up the usual Ace brand comb at the grocery store. I hurt my head the first time I used it. The tines were sharp, scratched my scalp and were hard on my hair. These are not the combs I remember.I ordered a pack of these after reading a few reviews and I'm glad I did. These feel much nicer on my scalp and in my hair and are very flexible compared to what I had just purchased (and threw out). I will buy more in the future.

"Unbreakable" is a lie!
These combs are not "Unbreakable" as claimed not only by the description here, but also by the combs themselves. It takes very little bending for them to snap. I tried bending one just a bit to see if they were flexible, & pop! Snapped in half nearly immediately. I believe there is a difference between statements being a "mistake" vs a "lie"; calling these "unbreakable" is a lie. It's false advertising. Don't buy these if you're expecting the modern version of a hard rubber comb that is flexible. The kicker after-the-fact is that these are not returnable. Might as well take seven dollars & light them on fire.

Far from the finest
I asked for "all fine teeth". As the picture shows, the label on the package says "all fine teeth" but as you also can see from the picture, none of the combs in the as yet unopened package have "all fine teeth".

Great combs at a great price
I really liked this set of 5 combs. I'm always losing them and having 5 makes a lot of sense. Also, I very rarely use the wider spaced teeth on pocket combs, so having all the same spacing just makes the combs easier to use. Great price, great combs - the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because, as a back pocket comb, I wish they were a little more flexible.

Good fine toothed combs
As described, perhaps the only nitpick is that they are stiffer than the old style nylon combs. Just fine for usual purposes, perfect size.

Actual product is all fine-toothed
The current product image shows it as a mix of fine and regular teeth, but the actual combs are all fine-tooth as promised. They’re fine, but I still miss the lost one it’s replacing. Kinda pointy.

plasticy
Hard plastic, I had hoped for the more flexible, soft kind which this is notworks, but we'll see how long it lasts

Great Combs
I love them

Good quality combs
It seems to be very difficult to get combs that have fine teeth and non-brittle teeth, and these are the only ones I have managed to find.
