Q: Does it require a hub? I've seen some of these which say they need at least 150w bulb or they just blow. Does this one have a minimum?

It will require your WiFi hub if you want to control it via your phone. Otherwise it will operate as a switch for your lights. Not sure on the watts, I am using them on dimmable led down lights and work well.

Q: I have 4 dimmable halogen 20 watt bulbs controlled by a dimmer switch, would this work in that situation? I do have an earth wire.

I used this switch with 3 inset roof lights which operated from a standard switch, the connections were live, live 1 and the neutral, once connected the switch was ready to use as a stand alone switch then once downloaded the smart life app and added to the Alexa app, worked with voice control, one of the easiest set up I've come across with my smart home gadgets! The only thing to look out for is to make sure the mounting box is deep enough for the switch, you can get spacers or use a deeper box.

Q: Is there a way of turning off the blue led lights in the buttons as there are too bright for s bedroom?

I stuck some plastic dots on the inside of the glass panel. This reduced the light by loads (just a very faint glow in the pitch dark). Do a search on Amazon for "dimming stickers" also used them on my skq Q box

I believe it means waiting for connection
