Looks just as describe. You can change the size of salt when it comes out. I gave it 4 stars because I got a pepper one for a quarter of the price and I like a little better. The only thing I don't like is when you put the salt to grind fine not alone comes out. With my pepper grinder when I put it on fine the same amount comes out if I had it on a higher setting.

Finally, a salt mill that works, thank you Peugeot and thank you Amazon. Has a precise multi-grind selection on the bottom of the mill, whereas most spice mills use the nut on the top for selecting grind size. Nice looking exterior too, made with Beechwood finished with a matte white, I believe. Might be just plain white or a lacquer white, but still terrific.

Product paint chips pretty easily. My dad has a Peugeot car . I am amazed. This product is not of quality.

This is a great grinder. You have to remember that it is painted wood. If you plan on dropping it or getting wet, you should get the stainless steel version. Also you need to use the size of salt that is recommended for this grinder. One thing to note, if I dial the grind size smaller. I will make sure there are no grains between the burrs . I just turn the grinder upside down and give it a spin to clear it out. I could see how tightening the burrs while filled could create a problem. I think Peugeot uses a softer steel on these for corrosion resistance. It looks great and it’s made in France.

Got this because I have their pepper mill (which I love). The build quality and features are great. However the grind of the salt is a little weird. Its really hard to get an even spread of salt on whatever you're putting it on, and grain size tends to vary greatly. I only really use it on stuff like eggs where I want some big textured grains, or I don't care that the coverage is spotty. For anything I want an even distribution of salt, I wind up just putting kosher salt on by hand. Might try some different brands of salt granules to see if the grind better/differently, but all in all, it was a little bit of a letdown

Handsome product. A bit pricey, but it's the only one you'll need to purchase. A classic, and it's not plastic! Yayyyy!

My family has used Peugeot pepper mills for generations now. They are truly the best. These are no exception. They work well and look beautiful with classic lines.

I've always wanted Peugeot grinders because they are the original giant restaurant mills, but I don't want one so bad that I'd pay full price. When I saw this salt mill used for about $20, I jumped at the opportunity. There's a little chip in the lacquer, but that was to be expected. But even if were in perfect condition, I would consider $20 the maximum anyone should pay for the quality. There is no heft to it, and it feels plasticky and cheap, not luxurious.I give it two stars only because I assume the grinding mechanism is decent (only an assumption!). It is steel however, not ceramic as salt mills should be due to to salt being corrosive, and the instructions call for only dry rock salt. That's a bummer, because I like Celtic grey salt, which is wet.IMO, this company is trading on its brand, not its quality, at least with this model. If you want Peugeot, hold it in your hands before you commit. You may be disappointed like I was... even at over half off retail price!

It is a perfect salt mill.It was shipped with salt IN the mill wich made a little mess while unpacking but nothing serious.

A moagem é algo difícil. Encontrar sal adequado também é difícil. O pimenteiro é de longe mais eficiente.

Perfect grind, only needs semi-coarse salt, otherwise it won't work. You have to choose the right salt for it to work properly. It is a point that requires attention!

Pfeffer wird sehr gut gemahlen, das Aroma ist sofort zu riechen.das Salz kommt auch sehr schön aus der Mühle. Es ist schon zu merken das Salz und Pfeffer Mühe jeweils ein anderes Mahlwerk verbaut haben. Was bei den meisten Keramik Mühlen gleich ist und die Pfefferkörner nur mäßig transportiert werden in der Mühle.
