Q: I am hoping to use the lights to light a tent for a wedding. Will they get too hot for that or to have flowers near by?

The wattage is 5, it won't get hot easily.

Q: Why is there a caution that says for temporary use only? There are pictures of them on a patio. i doubt people plan to take them down every 90 days.

I believe they are saying they are not intended to be used as a permanent fixture.

Q: What is the size of fuse you need for these lights? I used all of the spare fuses?

It takes one fuse and comes with an extra 8A fuse.

Q: how do the cords attach to fence or gutter or pole?

you need to use hooks to hook them on the pole, fence, and gutter
