Expensive, but superior by far
So I've been welding with these gloves for 6 months now - burning rods down to a nub, & picking up hot steel with reckless abandon...the sludge, dirt & chemicals where I work are not gentle on leather by any means & these gloves have managed to shrug off all of this abuse like it's nothing. I fully expect that I'll have no problem getting another 6 months to a year out of them.I got these after too many rods burned down to the stinger, shrunk & started splitting the finger on my last pair of the tan Caimans. This leather shrinks very little from extreme heat & the noticeably thicker insulation gives you a god complex about being able to handle metal pretty much as soon as it's not glowing anymore, without sacrificing flexibility. BB's shed better than the tan ones too.The only downside is the price - at about $75 when I got them, they're definitely expensive. If the extra protection & durability is worth it to you though, these are the gloves to get.

Hard-working Heavy Duty Gloves
My husband had a pair of Caiman full length gloves just like these, but the brown ones that he loved so much for his ability to move logs around in the fire with. These are the same, but in his favorite color scheme. Don't worry, his old ones are still living a great life with his father, they were still in perfect working order. My husband got these and so far, they've been working in very much the same way. These are super high quality work gloves (though I hate calling them that, because the term "work gloves" makes them sound low quality, when they're the furthest from that). He has been able to use them for a host of things that I'm pretty sure they aren't being marketed for, nor were intended for their use. Sticking your hands directly into fire, for example, to pick up a burning log and move it to a better position. Rough play with the dogs that don't have great bite impulse control. That sort of thing. I'm not suggesting you follow in his footsteps, just trying to get y'all to understand how amazing the quality is of this pair of gloves.

Two months in...
I'm two month into wearing these, the thread on the hands started wearing out pretty quickly. The holes in the fingers started after attempting to tack while they were damp. As cool as it was to watch electricity jump across my fingers, definitely should of let them dry out... The cuffs are great, I feel the thud of molten slag from overhead welding without the burn... Except when it lands in-between the leather due to loose threads on the hands... I'll probably buy another pair, I cannot seem to find another brand with 21" cuffs, and I'm particularl about color (love the grey and black). Maybe get some Kevlar thread for repairs when the next pair starts wear...

Pretty alright
Pro: sturdy, even if you knick the outer layer the second layer hardens up to form a new skin. Very comfortable in high heat, great insulation. If you catch splatter the outer fabric just soaks it without really transferring it through the other two layersCon: fingers are short and come to the second knuckle instead of the webbing, so you'll tear between thumb and forefinger from stretching. Stitching could use stronger material or more reinforcement. Plastic buckles on guide hand will probably melt; mine did.

Well worth the cash for the cuffs
I bought these for the cuffs and they just rock I lay heavy welds down all day and burn my arms regularly the hands had lasted for about a month but the cuffs are still good the clips are still kn good condition but it was a let down that the thread on the palms didnt last long

Impressed
Great glove. Very flexible. I used them for everything this winter (-20f). Very warm and doesn’t affect your dexterity. Long cuffs seal up great on FR coats.
