Easy set up with ANR headphones
Seems to work fine. Easily connected to my Bose QC35II headphones. Works good with my intercomm but haven’t had a chance to try it while flying.

"Much Good Work is Lost for the Lack of a Little More"
I am upgrading this review based on a year of use. I still think they should include the adapter, or give you a choice of what plug size you want... But other than that it's a great product...***************************I have not had a chance to hook up to a radio yet, so this review is based on what I have seen so far, not in the actual operating of the microphone.I love this idea. My number one priority was that I wanted a comfortable flight headset, and I didn't want to spend $1000 for one that could ONLY be used during flying. I also wanted one where I could upgrade the headphones as I progressed and could then use those headphones as 'guest' headphones for other passengers and simply add a microphone as needed. This setup seems like the perfect solution. The biggest issue that I have is that it comes with a 2.5mm plug to connect to your existing headphones. This is an extremely rare size, used primarily on Bose products. Most headphones with which this can be used, accept the larger 3.5mm jack. This would be an easy adapter to include in the kit, and with monoprice.com selling the adapter for 35 cents (plus shipping) it would be very cost effective for Nflightmic to include an adapter with the product. This is especially relevant as this adapter is NOT something that you can simply run out to your nearest electronic big box and pick up, so you won't be able to use your new mic until you can order an adapter and wait for it to arrive. Again, for less than 35 cents, Nflight could have fixed this problem. The other problem I found was the 3.5mm cord that they included so that you could plug your music source into your flight headphones through Nflight. I thought that my headphones or the Nflight was defective when I first tried it as I had full sound on one side, but only half volume on the other.Turns out that the cord they included was just poor quality and a change out to a cord that came with my headphones cured the problems. On a $300 product... if you are going to bother including a cord that you can pick up at any corner gas station.. why not make it a quality cord?Nflight has a great idea. I love the idea that I can take a high-quality mic and pair it with an increasing quality headphones as I move up the skill/usage level. But you shouldn't have to wait an extra 3 days to use a $300 product, all because you need a 35 cent additional part.

Top quality construction.
Professional pilot. B737 Capt. I use this as a backup. It works very well, I would like to have better noise cancellation in the mic. Easy to use with QC 35. Packs away neatly in my luggage so it is always available.Overall very nice.

Microphone is not sensitive enough
The boom microphone is not sensitive enough to carry on conversations with fellow passengers in the plane. It keeps cutting out and words are missed. I did not find it as bad when talking to ATC perhaps because you are using more short burst voice authority. Also found the stiffness of the mike causes it to slowly move away from your mouth and you are constantly pushing it back to your lips. This would not be an issue except that you literally need the foam against your lips for the mike to "open" even with it set correctly for direction. Overall, love the concept but am disappointed with the operation.

Nice
Works quite well. I like this setup much better than the Uflymike.

Can't be mounted on the right side of the headset, showstopper
I looked hard at this setup, and have no doubt that it's quality is fine. However, the mic cannot be mounted on the right side of the headset due to cord length. I contacted support to inquire about a short extension, which would easily solve the problem. The response was in their view, the additional cord would be too cumbersome. Having the mic mounted on the left side, in my opinion, is FAR more cumbersome than a short extension cord would be. For this reason, I elected to go with the Crystal Mic Pro by OSEI LLC. It comes with a nice bluetooth dongle for playing music through the headset, has a slick magnetic mount, and can be mounted on either side of the headset easily. If you're OK mounting your mic exclusively on the left side, by all means explore this product. If, like me, you prefer the option to mount the mic on either side, I recommend the Crystal Mic Pro over the Nflight Mic. Perhaps Nflight might one day realize that losing orders over the lack of offering a short extension cord isn't the best of ideas.
