MP11 Vintage Old 1886 British Empire Map of The World Poster Re-Print - A1 (841 x 610mm) 33" x 24"

Unfortunately the tube was damaged and subsequently so was the print along the length of the whole upper section However I ironed it out and figure it adds to the authenticity of an "old" map. If this was something else, like an art poster, I'd send it back.It is printed on paper, not cloth, like someone else said. So you have to be very careful with it because it could crease easily.As for the print itself it is very well done. I have the largest size and the information in the little white boxes on the map are tiny but legible. I gave five stars because the product is excellent. The damage was by the carrier not the manufacturer. It was a heavy duty tube and something crushed it.

I saw this map on the wall behind a lecturing professor in a DVD lesson on British history. I couldn't believe it when I found it here and ordered it at once. Beautiful color reproduction, and detail that rewards careful scrutiny, revealing cultural viewpoints and prejudices at the time of its creation.

I like the “antique” appearance of the map. It’s a great addition to my Anglo-centric collection.
