 My order arrived on time and was in good shape. There was a strong tea aroma which I didn’t mind when I opened the shipment, but this seems to be normal based on other teas I have ordered in the past. I’m a tea lover so, not a problem.The first time I brewed it, I used 5 butterfly pea leaves, which gave it a pretty blue color. If I had to describe the initial taste, I would say it was “Earthy” but non unpleasant. Reminded me of unsweetened green tea. My second time around I added 8 flowers and I wanted to go for the sour sweet taste so I added a few drops of lime and a teaspoon of honey. The drops of lime slowly started to change the color of the tea into a Gorgeous indigo color which I thought was pretty neat. The touch of honey was perfect for me as it was sweet but still maintained the natural butterfly pea flavor.

I purchased the Sou Zen Butterfly pea leaves because a friend told me about the many health benefits and how many asian countries have been using for centuries. One difference I have noticed is that after about 4 days my runny nose seemed to improve. I will continue to consume and see what other benefits I notice.The butterfly pea leaves make a very beautiful, dramatic blue colored tea. There is not much of a flavor of its own, so I preferred to add it to more flavorful drinks, like limeade, lemonade, and coconut water. The color is an amazing, gorgeous blue.

I did not used to consider myself much of a tea person. Being in the military I wanted to take the edge off and help my stress with deployments, without resorting to the usual alcoholic beverage. While browsing Amazon I came across this new tea leaves listing and gave it a try, since that day drinking this tea has become a routine! I start my day with a cup and usually have a cup on my balcony after work during sunset, it has really helped my stress level and I even drink less alcohol now as a result. A win-win for me on more levels than 1!These tea leaves are also a real treat being stationed in Asia at the moment, really adds to the experience and I highly recommend them!!

My first experience with butterfly pea tea was in Thailand and I absolutely loved it. I was very happy to see that sou zen butterfly pea tasted exactly the same. I noticed the leaves are from northern Thailand which explains why the taste is so similar. The tea has almost no taste when served plain, but when you give a squeeze of lemon and honey it will give it a bit more zing. I also used it as a food coloring for my pasta and eggs.I have tried several other brands, but I highly recommend this one.

I enjoyed the taste for one. I was told it would be sour but it actually wasn't. Definitely, I would recommend drinking it either hot with agave syrup or cold with coconut water. The benefits of the product is there. I would say I received an energy boost from drinking it. I order it for skin rejuvenation. I saw my dry skin clearing up after a few days of drinking the flowers with coconut water.

I got this tea to help manage my stress, and it’s really helped since! It’s a nice thing to come home to after a long day of work. The tea is really soothing, and the health benefits are amazing! I enjoy it with honey and a bit of lemon! The best part, besides drinking it, is watching it change from blue to a nice magneta after adding lemon. Definitely would recommend this tea to anyone looking for a calming tea!

It smells amazing dry right out of the bag but once brewed the aroma is surprisingly pleasant and taste feels warm on the aftertaste. The taste and aroma strike me as well blended. The pure flavor comes through without excessively standing out. This is a good tea to use with the given flavoring. All together, this tea is smooth and nuanced in a way that fits its description. I can also detect the pea tea leaves with a great level of sweetness. The flavor becomes more prominent as the cup cools. Anytime of the day tea that goes well with snacks and meals.

Earthy notes with the taste not unlike a green tea but yet different to delight the tea drinker. The startling unique presentation of a cobalt blue tisane that changes color depending on what’s being added is fascinating to watch is another great feature.
