...you can tell because nowhere on these sandals does it say Birkenstock. Other than that, I can't tell the difference. The footbed looks and feels the same. The cork base looks the same. The leather looks and feels like leather. The buckles aren't quite as nice, but they're functional. The price speaks for itself.

These shoes had a lot of potential! They were stylish and comfortable when I first tried them on. However, within the first hour of walking, the fabric separators between the toes became overly flexible. This lack of structure meant my toes weren't held securely in place, causing the shoes to come off with each step. I love these shoes except for the fact I have only had them a little over a month and they are already falling apart. The top parts are coming unglued the latches are trying to spin so it pulls on the leather, and the tread in on the heel is coming loose for gravel to get stuck in.... Super frustrating. Otherwise it's comfortable and fits great and color was true. Just wish the durability was there.

These sandals are my favorites. I have wide feet so I get the men's sandals in the size 9 regular, (D width). They fit perfectly. It is equivalent to a woman's size 11 wide. I can wear a sandal in size 11 or a closed toe shoe in a woman's size 12 wide. These are my house slippers and they give me support and protection both indoors and going out for a walk. I do highly recommend them for their comfort and support. Their price is fair also.
