I Liked the Techniques that were Demonstrated. Very Helpful.

I purchased this DVD (actually I bought the $70 set with paints Included) because of the good reviews it got on an airbrush forum. All I can say is that it turned out to be a major disappointment. Markham makes great fire with his "three step" technique but it doesn't do much good if he doesn't explain how to do it yourself. Instead there is about twenty minutes of him repetitively spraying down the fire without much word on forming the flame licks or what works and what doesn't. It leaves the viewer with very little information other than what order to lay the colors down in.When I purchase a DVD I expect that the manufacturer may put a small advertisement in the beginning or end promoting their other products but the amount of advertising in this DVD was appalling. All throughout his "instruction" logos and advertisements would pop on the screen. Believe it or not there were actually commercials inbetween a few of the scenes!!! What completely infuriated me was at the end there was a bonus section where Richard Markham showed how to add a skull into your fire. Unfortunately when he nearly completed the skull a giant advertisement jumped on the screen blocking the entire thing until it the end. I never got to see the completed skull!!!All in all this DVD was a disappointment. I learned nothing that I couldn't have found on YouTube for free. Thanks for the rip off!
