You get what you pay for!
This item is not very sturdy or well made. The finish is poor with rough edges and split wood around the edge of the chalkboard and handle. The bottom is thin and overall once put together it isn't all that sturdy. Although they depict images of folders stored inside I think they would break this crate.I purchased 2 of these and when putting together one the whole bottom edge split. I will keep the one that hasn't broken but return the broken one and not bother getting another one.Decided to add to this as I was rather frustrated earlier due to one breaking. I will purchase another as I only want it to hold light items and so it will be ok for that. Yes, it's rough and ready but what do you expect for under £15. It is easy enough to put together, if it doesn't break, and it does look ok once finished. I have bumped up to 3 stars as overall it's cheap and does the job.

Very disappointing
Oh dear. Wood is very lightweight, almost like balsa wood. Really poor quality. Don't plan on storing anything other than feathers in it. My box arrived flat packed with all the bits. However the end part was so thin it was already split when I unwrapped it.Thank heavens Amazon is great with returnsMy advice - don't bother ordering
