This is a most beautiful chess set, hand made of the highest quality inlaid wood .The chess pieces are large and it is a pleasure to handle them on the chessboard .It looks absolutely stunning when set up and inspires to play chess .Thoroughly recommended !

The most important part for me when buying a set was the visibility of the pieces on the board. I wanted to glance over the board and recognise patterns without trying to figure out which piece was which and without the pieces blending into the board too much. From that aspect, I would give the 4.5 stars because I like how the bishop, queen and king have opposite colours at the top and that the colours are distinct enough. What I didn't like about the pieces is that the queen could've looked a bit different to the king, although I love how each piece looks, every single one's style is adorable. The reason for 4 stars only though is because I can see the glue on each piece and that the pieces have no weight. I could just send it back and find another set, but I think overall, it was a good purchase and hopefully, it will last long.

I love playing it and will keep it, but I can’t quite give it 5 stars only due to the minor build quality issue. It could have been more finessed for its price. As mentioned there are glue areas visible but it won’t stop your game.

I was really torn when this chess set arrived. The set is attractive, but the quality of craftsmanship was poor. With copious quantities of glue exposed through the sandwiched sections of the slightly more intricate pieces, I felt I had to return it. There are more beautiful sets available at around the same price. Although they might not be quite as big, the workmanship makes the alternatives more worthwhile. If you can afford this, treat yourself to something better.

More than happy with my purchase. The item not only provides hours of intellectual entertainment but looks good as a piece of furniture being very well crafted.

The quality of the board is fantastic, there is an instant and real feel of quality. The pieces are a little different to those pictured but still very beautiful. We’ve never played so much chess!

In der Verkaufsabbildung bei Amazon werden grosse, aber trotzdem elegant filigrane Schachfiguren fotografiert, gekommen sind aber relativ plumpe Figuren, die obendrein nicht am Stück gedrechselt sind sondern mit dicken Kleberschichten zusammengeklebt sind. Entsprechend stinkt es auch. Für den Preis nicht akzeptabel, ich weiss nicht, ob die Fotos bei Amazon von einem Vorgängermodell stammen oder die Figuren so raffiniert von unten aufgenommen wurden, dass diese Täuschung zustande kommt, aber ……👎🏽👎🏽Und obendrein muss ich nun auch noch Rücksende Porto zahlen für dieses falsche Produkt. 👎Das Schachbrett dagegen war sehr schön, und die Box in der das Schachspiel versandt wurde hatte vollkommen realistische Abbildungen ( s. 1. und 2. Foto).

El diseño de las piezas es mucho más tosco que las del producto anunciado, es complicado diferenciar el Rey de la reina ya que su diseño es prácticamente idéntico.

le jeu est magnifique mais je l'ai reçu sans emballage carton; juste plastifié. L'emballage est légèrement abimé, dommage, heureusement que le jeu est top.
