Superstore: Season Two

SUPERSTORE is a goofy, harmless little show about life in the retail world of Cloud Nine---an obvious fictional depiction of [email protected] bought the first season and was a little disappointed. The show spent more time on character stories than it did on spoofing the retail industry which I thought what the show was going to be about having read the reviews. But that makes sense; early episodes always need to establish the characters and premise first above all else. Having done all that, I found Season 2 much funnier and it played more as what I always expected SUPERSTORE was going to be. They have fun depicting certain *rituals* of retail such as the horror of Black Friday or the hiring of seasonal help. The quick sight gags remain the show’s biggest strength and you really need to pay attention to “get” them all, especially the subtle way they use background “muzak” to punctuate the joke.This MOD release for Season 2 is problematic. Amazon needs better quality control here. At least once on every other episode there was a “subliminal flash” of the Universal logo or closing credits from another show that appeared on the screen for a split-second right in the middle of the episode. I can’t be bothered to return this since the same thing could happen again—or be worse—on another pressing. It just doesn’t justify the cost of this disc compared to the cheaper, professionally pressed ones of Season 1. Buyer Beware.Three ½ stars for this Season. Two stars for this product.

The show itself is amazing.great show,with an odd enough sense of humor that my family enjoys.cant recommend enough.(though there is a minor problem,during a few episodes,as another review pointed out,there are flashes of words and pictures on the screen.it only occurred on about four episodes,not that big of a deal.) the show outshines any disc errors,which in my case didn't ruin the show for me.

The Halloween episode still makes me laugh. Dina and Garrett are great. The dog adoption day is especially funny too. I really enjoy this show. It's something that my niece and I can both enjoy and talk about.

I purchased season 1, 2 and 3 because of clips I saw on YouTube. It is a funny show to watch with a cast of great actors. The only complaint that I would make is that some of the clips I saw on YouTube ended up being deleted scenes and they were for me the best parts. With that said I would still recommend this TV show it is very good.

I work at a retail store, so I really do enjoy this show, and wish amazon would get the rest of the collection on DVD, so I could buy them.

This is a hilarious show! It allows the characters to be exactly who they are (a bit ditzy, for example) and yet laughs *with* them, not at them. This is a delicate balance to achieve in the land of easy-laugh sitcoms, which is failed by most writers.

The DVD plays fine. I was surprised that there is no Setup options. I'm almost dead, need a Subtitle option

If you're looking for a laugh-out-loud comedy, this is it. I like that they bleep out the foul language, not that there's a lot of bad language. It just makes it funnier!

I mean what can I say? It works? It’s a DVD it obviously works well, comes with bloopers and all that stuff. It seems to be impossible to find Seasons two-5 anywhere near me, apparently they’re not sold in Canada so this was a great find for me.
