The part is probably correct for modern fridges, but not 30 year old ones
The part is the correct original manufacturer's part, but something has changed in the last 30 years since my Amana refrigerator was manufactured. I obtained the same replacement part from the manufacturer and they were the same. The problem with both replacements is that the magnets were not as strong as in the past and the gasket wasn't as thick; both problems led to the freezer not sealing completely. I was able to repair the old gasket, but will probably have to replace the entire refrigerator when the next part fails.

Well, I almost shan’t review this item because dear hubby installed it. He had a bit of trouble and it only worked “just enough” to get us by whilst our new cold box was on back order. Probably not a very helpful review.
