The item received looks more like pex fitting end than a barb end

The “5/8 Barb” option is not a hose barb
The “5/8 Barb” option is not a hose barb It is a PEX style fitting as other reviews have shown. Will not work with hose/hose clamps, they eventually slide off the end.
