Brooks Men's, Ghost 11 Running Shoe

This is my first pair of Brooks I have ever bought. That being said I did a lot of reviews for a good neutral shoe and decided to go with the Ghost 11 (bonus they were in my favorite colors), but these shoes unpackaging was slowly making me upset.PositivesThe delivery was very quick.The colors are awesome.The shoes seem to be comfortable (no run yet, to cold).Price good for a very solid reviewed shoe.NegativesThe shoe box was destroyed (see photo) that was the first thing I noticed and started hoping I didn’t get shoes someone used already. I like to keep the shoe boxes to keep my shoes in this will not happen with this pair of shoes.The shoes were tied up and knotted! Again I was really not hoping for a hand me down pair of shoes spending 128$. They have been worn and you can tell on the heels the shoe was “foot forced” off. Aka someone was to lazy to untie and take off. You can even see the marks on the heels! You can also see the force stress marks in the cushioning on the outside of shoe as in someone already went for a run in them The shoes are a little larger then size 10.All in all the shoes are nice and seem to be what I’m looking for, but I’m very dissatisfied with getting an already used pair of shoes that were just packaged up sent back by someone not checked and then sent to me. I’m hoping I get contacted by Brooks about this situation, cause there hasn’t been many reviews I read with this happening and sure enough I’m one of the few individuals that got the lucky draw. It’s the first of February and I got to get training and running for events coming up. So I’m gonna use my old not so friendly to the knees, shoes. I believe I became a new customer for Brooks, but this is unsatisfactory.

Super high arches cause me problems all my life with shoes and walking. Lots of sprained ankles, cause I don't have enough foot bottom to hit the ground. Thus, I am really careful about the tennies I buy when I'm running around. Overpronating really can be a problem, so I go first to Runner's World on the net, check out which shoes are best for me and then check them out on Amazon. This pair wasn't on sale--altho I have found some real deals before on shoes on Amazon--but I still purchased them, because I buy men's tennies (wider toebox) AND I can find them in black more in men's than women's (shoe manufacturers need to wake up and give women the black option in tennies). So, overall,I am very pleased with this purchase, and will be wearing them alot I'm sure.

These shoes are amazing! Super comfy to run. I'm a big guy and these help with the impact from running on pavement. Only complain I have is that the toe box is a little loose and they run one size too large. I'm normally a 13 4E and that fits snug, but these had about an inch extra past my toe. I had to return them and get 12 4E and they fit perfect now. Still a little extra room in the toe box but it doesn't affect my running. Overall great shoes!

Love the shoes! I have really bad supination and did some research for which shoes to buy. These worked great! Woke up every day barely being able to walk downstairs from the pain from supination and the day after I wore these shoes at work I had zero pain! A huge relief! The shoes look great especially compared to other brands that offer supination support. Only reason I give four stars instead of five is because of the price. Most expensive shoes I’ve purchased since I played basketball in high school!

I've been using Kayanos' the past few years. I had been running with a pair of 24's and 23's. I decided to mix things up and got a pair of the Ghost 11's. The fit is noticeable better for me in the medium width. I always felt like I needed to stretch out the ASICS for a few runs, where these were spot on from day 1. The toe area also feels much better in these and bit more 'bounce' when they're new compare to the ASICS new.

Ordered these for my husband (he researched them and the reviews) and he used them for the first time today. He said these running shoes are THE BEST he's ever owned! He normally uses New Balance, but he said that now he'll go with BROOKS! Said he felt like he was running on air. They are super comfortable and fit true to size. He usually gets a size larger for his running shoes. May give BROOKS a try myself when next I have to change my running shoes!

As a marathoner, I need a shoe that lasts several hundred miles of runs, while providing comfort during every run. These shoes have done that job. I've purchased maybe 10 pairs over the last few years, including a few generations of them. The first thing to go us usually the outer heal sole, but only after about 400 miles so I'm happy with that. This particular color combination always brings compliments - especially by Philadelphia Flyers fans and Princeton students.

IM usually a 8.5 4E but this seems slightly wider in toe box and sides than most (maybe 1cm?). Enough that I wish I had sized down 1/2 a size. It’s padded okay- flat padding, no real arch support. I have no clue why these are so highly recommended for supinators/underpronators- it seems a very neutral shoe. I’m keeping them, but would not reorder again. The search continues for something to help with my high arches and underpronation :(

Uso Ghost ormai dalla 5. A prima vista (e dopo i primi km), questa versione appare ulteriormente migliorata rispetto alla 10. Si tratta di dettagli ma che, a dire della casa produttrice, dovrebbero rendere la scarpa ancor più performante e duratura.Mi riferisco in particolare al materiale utilizzato per la parte posteriore della suola, il DNA LOFT, che a detta della Brooks, dovrebbe migliorare l'ammortizzamento della scarpa e garantire maggiori chilometri con lo stesso confort. Vedremo.In generale, la scarpa rinnova la sensazione di confort, morbidezza e giusto ammortizzamento già provate con la 10 e, mia personale sensazione, restituisce una migliore sensazione di contenimento e protezione del piede. Merito forse di leggere modifiche all'assemblaggio della tomaia.Lacci e linguetta perfetti e comodissimi. Accollatura al piede imbottita come nell'ultima edizione. Calzata anch'essa in linea con il precedente modello. Peso di qualche grammo superiore (10-15 grammi in più il 43).Estetica molto bella e rifiniture davvero pregevoli.Concludendo, la Ghost 11 a parer mio si conferma una scarpa affidabile, confortevole, performante ed adatta ad un ampio numero di runners. Sia che si cerchi la scarpa comoda per gli allenamenti, sia che si cerchi una scarpa agile il giusto per le prime gare. Io non posso che suggerirne l'acquisto, spero solo che i prezzi non aumentino troppo nei prossimi anni...mi raccomando Brooks, non deluderci ;-)AGGIORNAMENTO (dopo i primi 600 km). Pur avendo perso parte del suo potere ammortizzante e di rilancio, la scarpa fa ancora egregiamente il suo dovere e credo che altri 200-250 km li possa sopportare alla grande, senza scadere eccessivamente nelle prestazioni (il mio peso è 66 kg).Calcolate che molte delle scarpe da running in commercio, dopo un tale chilometraggio, vedono già peggiorare di molto le loro performance e sono praticamente da sostituire. La suola, come da promesse Brooks, è ancora praticamente intatta, evidentemente i materiali utlizzati sono effettivamente più resistenti all'usura da sfregamento. Confermo la mia soddisfazione per questo acquisto e a breve ne ordinerò un altro paio, magari nei nuovi colori primavera-estate 2019. il vecchio paio ovviamente verrà utilizzato, ancora per anni, come scarpa "civile".

Update04/03: ive used them for nursing in the hospital many hours standing/walking and the feet feels good after 12h shift. I'm still very happy with this ones.What I like : same comfort and size as my prev ones even they were diferent modelIm a 43 eu in normal shoes but with this brand im a size bigger. This works for every model so when I asked for the new ghost it respected the rule.They feel exactly the same as my prev model but better, more comfort. Feels soft for longer time and doesnt weight much when wearing them.

OK, I may be a nube when it comes to running shoes,but I have played basketball for over 20 years. Can't talk about durability or long term stuff because I have just got these 3 days ago, but these shoes ....make you want to walk more. OK, so this is my first pair of "performance" shoes and running is OK - nice and comfortable ( too many injuries to run super long distances ) , but walking is just ....... mindblowing. Just got my Mom a pair LOLSo if you are like me. running some, but not a fanatic and you are wondering if buying more expensive shoes is worth it, give these a try. Sheesh. Well done Brooks!!!

Schuh hält was die Werbung für dieses Produkt verspricht, sehr angenehm zu tragen und die Dämfung ist bis jetzt sehr zufriedenstellend. Einzige Veränderung zu den Modellen die ich von Brooks seit mehr als 10 Jahren gewohnt war, ist das das Fussklima sehr zu wünschen übrig lässt. Das erstemal seit langem bekomme ich nach einem längeren Lauf Schweißfüsse.Schade.

Ich laufe ca. 1.000 km/pro Jahr bei Flachstrecken von ca. 10 km. Da ich zu Blasen und gelegentlich blutigen Nägeln neige, wähle ich seit einiger Zeit die Reihe Ghost von Brooks. Der Ghost 11 verzichtet ggü. älteren Modellen auf den Überbau am Spann und ist produziert keinen Druck auf den Zehen. Dafür danke! Für mein breites Fußbett ist der Ghost auch sehr geeignet. Ich bin jetzt erst ca. 150 km mit dem Ghost 11 gelaufen, kann aber keine Abnutzung erkennen. Ältere Modell neigten aber an den Seiten zum Reißen des Stoffes. Die Dämpfung ist super. Ich habe keinerlei Gelenkprobleme. Die Dynamik ist auch o.k. Wer die 1-2 Sek pro Kilometer extra Beschleuiniging/ Tempo nicht benötigt oder noch Wettkampfschuhe in petto hat, ist mit dem Ghost als Allrounder gut bedient. Preis-Leistung ist hier top.Wir in anderen Rezensionen beschrieben, fällt der Ghost zu groß aus. Ich habe bei Straßenschuhe Größe 43 EU, hier 1,5 Nummern größer.

Comfortable and good breathability but didn't have that new shoe feeling of fresh cushioning that I usually get and would expect from a premium priced shoe.. Probably depends on personal taste as far as softness / give goes but unfortunately had to return these.

Brooks Ghost remains the best running shoe I have ever had. Ghost 11 is no different. Will keep on buying.
