no frills watch, good value.
I was a bit leary about ordering this watch when I read the reviews. It was not terribly expensive, however, so I decided to give it a chance. It does exactly what it says it will do; it tells you the time. It is a basic no-frills item that tells time, allows one setting for an alarm, gives you the choice of a snooze button and can announce the time on the hour. To me the voice is very clear. There is a large button the watch face, which announces the time when pressed. On one side of the watch are two buttons; the first turns the alarm and snooze on or off, the second turns the hour announcement on or off. The watch is easily set. On the opposite side from the buttons is a small notch. This is where you set the watch by using your fingernail to depress an inset button. Once an option for setting is found, you use the buttons on the opposite side to set the hour and the minutes. It took me about three minutes to figure it out. Since the setting button is not readily accessible, there will be no problem in it accidentally getting unset. Also there is a feature to put the watch to sleep if you will not be wearing it for a time. This is a nice feature because it saves battery life. I am very pleased with this product, and will order another to have as a backup.

Purchased for my mother who can't see. She can ...
Purchased for my mother who can't see. She can understand the voice which is the biggest obstacle in finding an acceptable talking product.Worked for a year with the battery it came with. Difficult battery replacement resulted in the delicate talking wires breaking. The procedure only stated; 1. Remove back cover. 2. Remove the told battery and install a new one with the correct polarity. 3. Replace the back cover.Reordered this same watch again because of the voice. The new battery replacement procedure now includes an important step 1. With a Phillips screwdriver remove the four screws on the back cover.

Very Easy To Use
We bought this watch for our visually impaired mother. At first she was resistant to wear it, saying that she didn't need it. Now, she says it's the best present we could have given her! Because she wears it on her wrist, she can't lose it or knock it off a table. The large button is simple for her to find by touch and the voice announcing the time is soothing. Another great feature is an alarm function. We found this out in a comical way. The first morning our mother was awoken to the sound of a rooster crowing. As we live in a large city, odds were that a live rooster wasn't anywhere near! When we discovered the noise was coming from the watch, we all had a good laugh. Of course, this was our fault for not reading the directions in their entirety!

Needed a large button on watch face
We tried the talking wrist watch with the small button on the side, but my Mom had difficulty finding it and pressing it with her fingers, which are not straight. Clearly a large button was needed, and this one really works. For the first time in many years, she can find out the time where ever she is, especially at night. We are very grateful for such a low cost and functional watch for people who can't see very well. This is a major improvement in her quality of life!!!

Not as easy as it looks
I bought his for my 92 year old grandmother who does not see very well and she always needs to know what time it is. I figured this would be perfect and not expensive.First, in order for the watch to talk and tell time, it requires that you push the green button on the face of the watch. The button is just flush with the face of the watch, not raised at all so that it is easy to locate. Once we pressed the button, we could barely hear the woman speaking to tell the time. My grandmother had a difficult time with this watch. It was also a bit bulky. I wouldn't recommend it. I would spend the money and buy something with more quality.

Its been a few weeks now
And I am happy with this purchase. A pleasant female voice announcing the time on demand or by setting it to each hour or even an alarm setting. I bought 2 extra batteries for just in case but Im still using the new battery in it just fine. I dont really care what time it is, but its nice to know for appointments and such. lol. a fun watch for a great price.. try one and see for yourself.

Tell me the Time!
The talking watch is a great way to know the time for those who cannot see. My aunt is visually impaired and as such cannot read the dials be it digital or analog. Therefore, this was a great way for her to keep track of the time without having to ask.
