Anyone who changes oil in a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle needs this tool. Not only is it nearly impossible to remove the oil filter cartridge from said vehicle without the proper tools, but with limited clearance this tool has proven to be a lifesaver. Since the cartridge itself is made of plastic, this filter wrench may wedge itself on to the flutes of the cartridge making it hard to remove after the oil filter cartridge has been removed from the vehicle. However with a light tap with a screwdriver and hammer it separates easily. This oil filter wrench definitely simplifies an oil change.

Short story: This Oil Filter Wrench is a high quality Aluminum wrench and fits the 2005 Mazda 6 Oil Filter Housing perfectly.Details: Since 2005 I have had a Mazda dealership change the oil in my 2005 Mazda 6. I have frequently used a coupon and had the oil changed for as little as $29.00. The engine uses a slide-on filter element hat gets installed n a filter housing instead of the more simpler spin-on type filter. Also, you need two different torque wrenches to properly tighten the filter housing and the filter drain plug. Just recently, my Mazda dealership in Melbourne Florida made the decision to raise the price of the "Conventional" Oil Change to the same price of a "Synthetic" Oil Change, so that brought the price up to about $60.00; too much in my opinion. So I bought the torque wrenches, this Oil Filter Wrench, and the 6mm Allen driver for the torque wrench and now I can change my own oil for about $27.00 instead of $60.00. Plus, now I know the oil change is going to be done right!

The only problem I had was that the wrench did non hold as well as others I have had. It did work but!!

Used this for my gf's 2010 mk5 Jetta 2.5L 5cyl oil change.It definitely fits perfectly and almost too snug as I really struggled to remove it when I torqued the filter housing back down. Pretty sure most of you know that anxiety inducing feeling when you've finished a job and it's already dark out and then you run into a ridiculous snag like this. Definitely went into panic mode because it was really on there!So yeah it works.
