Envigo (Formerly Harlan) Teklad Rat Food Diet 8604 (5lbs)

I ordered on Wednesday, it came on Friday. My hamsters loved it, they are om the younger side so the protein content is good. But too high protein for adult hamsters, mice, rats etc. of course pair with a good mix. I'd even go as far as to add a small pinch of plain shredded wheat in there as this block is low in fiber. Otherwise this is a great product!

This is a high quality rodent chow. The protein to fat ratio is perfect. I received the package within a few days.I'm a licensed Wildlife rehabilitator and this is my rodent chow of choice.

Ordered this because I saw somewhere online that this helps reduce the rat smell. It seems to work. My son got a lovely little rat for his birthday that son turned into a lovely large rat with a very big stink. Even five minutes after cleaning the cage we could smell him in the hall outside my son's bedroom. Bought this food and the smell is reduced. Not gone, just reduced. Like maybe one tenth what it was. Can no longer smell him in the hall, we actually have to enter his room now. Have only been using a couple of weeks so it's not enough time to tell if it'll do anything for his coat, but will update if his coat becomes soft and silky. Not likely though, he's pretty scruffy looking. Has no trouble eating it. Was no big deal transitioning foods. He likes it . Glad to have found it. Will order again. And will update to 5 stars if his coat starts looking like Fabios.

I found pieces of grass, woodchips, plastic, tape, fabric tags, other product wrappers, and more garbage in my bag today. The food also smelt of beef jerky and fish food, which is not normal at all. This has never happened to me before, and it won't be again! I will not be buying from this seller or listing again. This is poor quality food and horribly packaged.

Very good food resource for rats. Can't believe how fast my rats grew since starting to eat this food. Very pleased customer!
