The greatest feeder.
I like this model of humming bird feeder. The hummingbirds in my area really love them also. They might leak a very little bit but nothing to worry about. In a very hot and sunny area the plastic might crack a little this is the only thing I don't like about them. They do last a very long time and the humming birds can feed from them very easly.

Very popular with birds but, like many others, it leaks fluid during hot weather
This is a great product, but it suffers from a common problem: leakage of liquids on hot days, apparently because hot air inside the glass container expands, pushing out the sugar water. We were misled the first day, thinking we had many hummingbirds because lots of red sugar water disappeared. But then we saw a big red, wet spot below the feeder. I had half-filled the glass container, and clearly much of that food fell through the feeder flowers, to the ground. My solution seems to be working: fill the glass container with as much fluid as possible, especially on hot days, so that little air is present. And don't wait for the birds to drink it down before refilling it, or you too may be misled. Quality hummingbird food is expensive. You don't want to waste it.

Poor Design - Better Feeders for Same $
Short Version:Absolute Junk.Long Version:I bought this as a secondary feeder since I'm attracting lots of these little guys with flowers and the feeder. Since they're territorial (and kind of mean) I wanted another feeder to place on the other side of the house. I should have spent the extra $3-5 for a similar design to the one I've got. I've had to replace it once since the glass broke. The design you want is the one that's like a shallow tray, with the holes on the top. There are many, many brands and feeders at all price ranges, including most Perky Pet feeders. Also, check to see that the top of the feeder is flat. This facilitates filling it. Usually, there's some sort of screw on "roof" that can be removed, and the feeder set on counter so you don't need 2 hands to fill it. My previous feeder was bottle shaped, and I had to hold with one hand to fill with the other. Eventually this balancing act caused me to slip, and break the bottle. The issue with this design is that the nectar holes are on the side. So, the slightest breeze will cause this thing to evacuate all the nectar. On my first fill, I was thinking the birds were exclusively feeding from this feeder, until I saw all the nectar on the ground. It literally emptied in 2 days. The ones with the holes in the top have no problems in a normal wind that makes the feeder sway. Secondly, since the holes are on the side, it's easily accessed by bugs. Flies and yellow jackets. So, they have to put those yellow bug guards on. Not necessary if the design was different. And, since the nectar is dribbling down the sides, the guards are simply a decoration. Luckily, I had this hanging in a tree over dirt, so I didn't have a sticky mess all over my patio. The top "fill with water to stop ants" thing is also due to poor design. Again, not necessary if the holes were on the top. Basically, they had to go to lengths to keep bugs out simply because of the inferior design!Pros:- Looks ok- Cheap- Fairly solid construction for flimsy plastic- Glass containerCons:- Leaks like crazy- Makes a mess- Attracts bugsSince 90% of the designs are the hole in top variety, you should have no problem finding one within your budget. As I mentioned, just be aware that some of the pretty blown glass or antique bottle type ones do not have a flat surface to set the feeder on when feeding. Also note the angle of the "flowers". The flatter they are, the less chance you'll have of leaking and bug issues. I've never had any bug issues with my current feeder or the previous one. Also, if you're buying one for the first time - I highly recommend picking up a bottle brush to facilitate cleaning!Perky Pet makes some great feeders, this is not one of them. Avoid at all costs. 1 star, I hate it.

Great little hummer feeder
This is my second feeder of this type. It is easy to clean and is the perfect Spring size. The perches on my first eventually broke and I knew I wanted to replace it with one just like it. So now I have an extra jar and some extra ports, so I can clean and get it back up pronto.I start with this feeder with just a few birds that can’t eat a lot so I don’t waste nectar.. Then eventually I will move to larger and more feeders as the hummingbirds return to full force in July. Then it all reverses in the fall and I finish the season with this one.It came as promised, on time and packaged well.

Drip
My feeder drips and makes a sticky mess on concrete. Not sure why, as nothing is cracked.

Larger Capacity Hummingbird Feeder
This one is very similar to the one I had before that had a 1 cup capacity. This one has a two-cup capacity and I don't have to fill it as often. I'm grateful it has sturdier parts than the previous one that I used for over 7 years so this one should last a good long time.

Great Feeder
I bought this hummingbird feeder to replace my old one as the bees were getting the nectar. I like this one as it is glass and easy to clean, keeps the bees from getting the food. The hummingbirds seem to like it too!
