HI-VISION HI-YIELDSCompatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Brother LC61 (4 Black, 4 Cyan, 4 Yellow, 4 Magenta, 16-Pack)

Someone wrote in a review that these were not compatible with the Brother printer (LC61 series). This is the second batch that I have purchased and they do work fine with my printer. The poster said they weren't recognized when they inserted them. I too had the same problem till I tweaked the situation: when you first insert the new cartridge into the slot, before you give the final push to completely insert, you have to do the motion swiftly and with some force. Then it clicks into place. And the machine will recognize it. And too, to prevent any mess (because my printer is located in my living room area that has carpet! and I rent!) I take a large plastic bag and place it under the cartridge area, then remove when I'm done.But......the cartridges are a good product and I'm a repeat buyer, as I said in the beginning. A friend of mine just got rid of their brand new Brother printer because they would go to the box stores and buy replacements that were making printing expensive. I told them they should have gone to Amazon to find cartridges and told them of my positive experience with Hi-Vision. Thanks "Ink Guys"!

What can I say, they work as expected. However, the printer did insist on re-installation of a couple of the cartridges, as they are not 100% identical to the OEM versions by Brother and others. Once installed, however, they work just great, and at much less cost than buying OEM. While they are not for use on photo paper (very long drying time), they are more than adequate for general office and home printing (the most likely use for the Brother MFC-495CW).I'm pretty big on Flight Simming, so these cartridges work out great for printing IFR/VFR flight plans, weather reports, airport maps, IFR/VFR plates, SID/STARS maps, etc. I also have to print a LOT of medical and financial records every couple of months. Thus far, with all the printing I do, I'm still on my first set of cartridges, which Brother reports as still near full, a serious bonus. I expect this set of cartridges will last at least one year, while the OEM versions rarely last me more than a month or so.For typical home/student/office needs, these printer cartridges will more than meet your needs, while offering excellent savings.

I was very reluctant to try after market ink cartridges on my Brother printer. I try to always buy OEM products even though pricey on ink cartridges. I ordered these 7-11-13.Replaced black 7-12-13 then again 11-2-13 then again 6-15-14 then again 11-2214.I replaced both cyan and yellow 8-4-13 and then again 11-22-14.I replaced Magenta 8-18-13 then again 11-2214.I feel I'm a normal to heavy user although I don't print in color much. My only complaint is that you have to be super careful when pulling out the cartridges. They are pretty drippy. Other than that, I'm totally satisfied with print quality and how long they last. I felt like I was going to Staples to buy ink cartridges quite frequently and forking out lots of $$$. Oh, did I mention they came in a 16 pack for only $16.44?

I bought this pack of ink cartridges exactly 7 years ago and am still using them today. They work perfectly. They seem more resistant to clogs than the factory ink and if printer left sitting for weeks at a time without printing, it will still work perfectly with out any ink clogs. The color is great and I've done everything from simple program listings to high quality photographic prints. I'm impressed. When these carts finally run out, I'll be buying more.

4.5 if I had the option. Amazing price, but minor flaw. I was just a little confused at first trying to open the cartridge and whether or not to peel off the plastic cover where the ink comes out from. Sadly, I was dumb enough to yank it off and ended up getting myself full of ink. Lesson learned. Just pull the "PULL TAB" tab and that's it.

These were a great deal, but it may have been a little too good to be true. They definitely don't fit in as nice and smooth as the original Brother LC61 cartridges, but we managed to get them in. They've printed everything out fine. We've only tried out the black and yellow ones so far. The black one had no issues, but the yellow one exploded once we pulled the tab on it. It was such a pain to have all that ink all over us and the cartridge. I don't know if it was just a faulty one or what since we haven't tried the others yet. But overall it was worth buying the set since it's wayyyy cheaper than buying the real name brand ones.

I guess, like everything, different people can have different experiences with the same company and product. I can tell you that I have never had any problem using this ink in my Brother MFC-495CW. They last for quite a while and I've had no issues with leaking or anything else.That being said, one never knows if this will change and I might get a bad batch that leaks on my next order. But I can only act on my personal experience, no one elses.

Our 7 year old Brother MFC-490CW likes the ink. My My experiences with other ink sellers has NOT been good. However the product was delivered on time, in good shape (no damage), and the ink quality is as good quality wise as the OEM inks. When I need more, I'll return to this seller. Next, I'll try this product on my wife's Cannon printer... We'll see.Don't know about longevity, but will be watching copy count. Happy for now.
