RGM Soft Grip Palette Knife, Blue, #45

As a professional artist, I really appreciate good tools. I used this knife to paint these coneflowers and it did a great job. Just flexible enough to lay down a consistent line while being bent, but not so flexible that it can't be controlled easily. The handle is comfortable and feels like it will last. Previously I have been using Liquitex knives, but they have always been a little too stiff for me and my style of painting. I just wish I could buy a set of these instead of having to look them up one by one for different sizes. Other than that, I have no complaints and will be buying several more in various sizes in the future.

I've had one of these for years, and it's more durable that my other knives. I've broken other knives at the angled connection in the past, but this one is pretty tough. The shape of this knife is especially helpful for my painting style. I will say that when this order first arrived, the tip of the knife had somehow been bent back. I'm guessing it was in transit. Amazon was good about replacing it without any inconvenience to me. Despite the bent tip of the first one, these blades are actually quite strong - I've been using the replacement for a while, and it's up to par.

This palette knife is very well made and a good size for the job of mixing paint. I’ve used this brand before with excellent results in terms of longevity and ease of use. It is good for applying paint to the canvas as well. Great knife. The soft grip is still holding up on my other palette knife with this brand. It is looking good as I re-finish my wood handles on other knives ( I dip them into polyurethane ). I like these palette knives a lot.AD2

Easy to grip, very shiny surface , easy to clean and easy to hold. I bought this to go with my collection of painting knives and for some occasional use for old or acrylic paintings like Bob Ross does. It has an easy to hold and grip silicone handle. Since it is silicone it will be easy to clean as nothing sticks to silicone. Now if I could only find a few more of these RGM silicone grip painting knives.

I like the feel of this knife but I was really upset to find that the knife I received was already worn. It had scratches everywhere, and large scuff marks all over the blade and the handle was caked in dirt. I'm very disappointed for getting a heavily used product. Plus the blade feels flimsy and cheap. Would not purchase again.

Sturdy. Well made. I have broken many palette knives by pushing down on them too hard I guess! They snap at the weld and the blade flies off! So I got this type and I really don’t think I can break it! I’ve used it for about 9 months. No problems!I like the width for mixing nice big piles of oil paint.

this is a great knife and a perfect size. I noticed that different sizes are needed(of palette knives) depending on the size of the subject you are painting. the ones I had owned before buying this one were way too small. same shape though. this size is great here. the only one larger than this one is on alexanderart website. ive looked all over. also, this knife has a good feel to it in your hand. I think it may be the way the handle is covered but it gave me a great feeling. im going to be buying the other Italian palette knife to match it as well. it has a yellow handle. shipping was quick.

I am an oil painter. This is a wonderful palette knife for detail work, and for lifting a little bit of paint at a time. I use it often towards end of painting an area. It can help with applying texture.
