The big difference between this pressure gauge and other lower cost pressure gauges in the market is all the wet parts inside this gauge are made of stainless steel, which means it's real 100% lead free, not the regular LEAD-FREE claimed by some lower-cost products, or even Winters has cheaper models which is BRASS INTERNAL, LEAD-FREE as well. What the regular LEAD-FREE concept refer to is the total lead inside the part is less than 2.4%, certainly it's no big deal if you used it for air pressure monitoring. but if you use it for Reverse Osmosis system, think about the drinking water you will consume every day and every year, do you want to drink water with 2.4% lead or zero lead? at least this is the best choice from a medical doctor with OCD like me.

I recently had a friend with major domestic water pressure issues, their water pressure spiked over 150 PSI which caused several big leaks and serious water damage to their home. I decided to add a pressure gage to my home while I was converting to a tankless water heater. This gage is working perfectly in my setup. I chose this model gage because it is all stainless steel and filled with glycerin which will ensure low wear of the mechanism and very long service life.
