Easy to use and read for beginners
My 10 year old son is using this book to learn piano. It keeps his interest because the songs are all songs he is familiar with and he is able to play on two hands (chords with the left and notes with the right) so the songs sound pretty advanced for a beginner. The book is set up in such a way that is is very easy to understand. The entire songs are not provided but enough for the song to sound good and only two pages so you don't have to turn the page. I recommend this to anyone just starting out that wants something a little more interesting than the typical boring beginner books.

Easy, simple arrangements.
Another great book by Hal lenorad. I am a adult beginner with some childhood experience. I like these simple books because the ease and repetition of left hand notes makes learning easy. With that said this is one of his books that uses chords for the left hand. This is fine and the songs sound right but with cords you have to constantly be checking the top of the sheet music for hand placement. It is for me to lose my place. Once certain chords and recognized it becomes easier but I prefer the left hand be under the right. Its a great book though!

Great for beginners!
It is so much easier to play songs that you know! My husband had never learned piano but he plays this for me every night! It ended up being a gift for us both! We got a free piano on marketplace and I bought the silicon note marking strip for the keys! It's like he's a professional!

No bass clef
Instead of having a bass clef with the chords, along with the melody, they give “chord diagrams” at the top of each song. I don’t really find this helpful as a beginner, because I don’t know which chord I’m supposed to play at what part of the song. If it were written along with the rest of the music, it would have been much more useful. This is also written in large print, or rather gigantic print. I’m not sure why they have chosen this layout/style.
