Wonderful and Versatile
This vacuum works great whether I am using around my basement workshop area to clean up sawdust, metal shavings, etc or upstairs in my living area. I find it particularly handy when using the cup brush to clean the occasional dust webs that accumlate around the ceiling and corners joints, it is small and light enough to hold while in use, and the wheels allow it to easily pull around.I noticed a couple of negative comments here that I feel need addressing. One concerns the attachments, complaining they are cheap and brittle plastic. I cannot agree with this. The attachments I received are sturdy and durable, the material seems to be like a combination of plasic and rubber that holds up well, and believe me I cannot be and am not overly cautious when I am using them in the basement. They aredurable and do not show other than the normal wear one would expect.Another comment regarded the recommended use of filter discs for picking up dry materials. This vacuum allows you two options, you can opt to use the filter discs - which are optional and not included - or use a normal type vacuum bag - one of which is included. Either option will work equally as well but you need to use only one or the other. I have used Shop Vacs for many years and personally I prefer the filter discs. The filter bags are designed for use in dry material pick-up and the only issue I have with these it that they seem to reduce the suction capabilities a bit and don't allow for the volume of pick-up the filter discs do. When using the bag the volume of material picked-up is limited by the size of the bag, but the volume of the filter discs is restricted only by the volume of the entire container. The filter discs need to be kept clean, especially if you are cleaning up fine dust like from drywall sanding, but they are easy enough to remove and dust off. I find the discs available in many places at around $5 for a pack of 3 that includes the mounting ring and depending on how frequently or under what conditions I am using this vac each filter will last a good 2-3 months (sometimes even longer)- just be sure to keep it clean.Fortunately, I have not had any floods, leaks, overflowing toilets etc to have to use the wet pick-up function so I cannot comment of how it will work for wet-use. Yet I am sure if this does occur I will not be disappointed. This little vacuum is a quality Shop Vac product that I anticipate will give me many years of dependable service.*** Update *** Well, I got to chance to find out how well the wet pick-up function works when the pressure release valve on my hot water heater let loose. I used the smaller nozzle, 6" wide, and kept the rear of the nozzle only slightly elevated to drag it over the standing water; the suction was strong enough to leave an almost dry area on the concrete where I dragged the nozzle.A couple of tips for wet usage - When inserting the hose into the body of the vacuum be sure the open part of the plastic fitting on the end of the hose is pointing downward, so that when the water is sucked in thru the hose it is directed to the bottom of the container. Also, remove any bags or paper discs/sleeves and use only the foam sleeve. When done I would suggest removing the foam sleeve to be fully rinsed out under water and letting it dry before putting it back on. I also rinsed out the canister, hose, wands and nozzle when I was done - though that is just the way I do things and may not have been absolutely necessary. It worked very well and I have no reason to find any fault with the wet pick-up function If there was any at all it would be the necessity to repeatedly stop and empty the canister when it became full. But considering this unit is only a 2.5 gallon capacity that is to be expected and not a slight against the overall performance of this Shop Vac wet/dry vacuum.

Strong Little Vac!!
I was in the market for a new vacuum and this time around, decided on a Shop-Vac if only because I'm soooo tired of having to untangle the beater brush on my upright (my fellow ladies with long hair understand)I liked this model the most since it came with all the accessories I was looking for, had wheels to follow me around and because it's pink :). What I didn't expect was that it would also be very light weight! I love that I can easily pick it up while cleaning the stairs; something I could never do very well with my upright. The suction on this vac is strong and I feel as if my house has never been cleaner! Of course, this may be difficult to use if your entire house is carpeted... Most of my floors are bare and I have a few area rugs that slow me down a bit but not so much for me to ever consider going back to a traditional upright. The floor brush works fine on rugs with the bristles out; but the bristles will occassionaly flip down on its own and the brush will then 'stick' to the floor.I love that I can easily clean under difficult to reach areas with the crevice tool and it really does pick up everything. I've used this to clean out my floor air vent in the foyer with ease (which was buried in a heavy thick dust that my last vacuum hose could hardly put a dent in); and it also cleans out all the dust bunnies from the upstairs bathroom ceiling fan, which previously had to be cleaned ala q-tip since my last vacuum wasn't strong enough to pull out the dust and dirt. There is a limit however in what it can actually take in size wise. I noted that my unit was getting very hot and suddenly wasn't picking up debris as well; the filter was still clean (that's all the inclosed manual had to say about suction power) and the disposable bag was hardly full. Basically, it just turned out to be a clog in the hose. Things like a long tootsie roll will easily be sucked up into the hose, but will jam at the end of the hose which has a small L shaped opening. Once you clear the opening; reattach, turn it back on and if the suction hasn't returned in full force, repeat the process. I had to do this two or three times in order to completely clear out several clogs that had developed before I was back in business. Not a real hassle and now I'm just more mindful about what goes into the vac (no more tootsie rolls) :).

Great value, small profile, doesn't sacrific on suction!
I used to have this one until the motor burnt up: https://www.amazon.com/Armor-Gallon-Utility-Vacuum-AA255/dp/B003M2F7NII used this mainly to clean out my car. I have a 65 lbs Aussie who comes along for the ride, and gets hair everywhere. This thing always had relatively suspect suction (for those who have used a commercial or full size shop vac, you will be disappointed) but since it was small, and lightweight, I liked it. Decent attachments, nothing to write home about. The motor burnt up one day after 20-30 minutes of use. I was mad, but 2 years, and $30, eh whatever. To replace this one, I bought this one on this page from Shop Vac brand: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041HXY06.It's a little more pricey than the Armor All, but does $10 really matter when you factor in the superior suction of this Shop Vac? It's got maybe 40% more power than the Armor All, and compares to other full size shop Vacs I have used. The attachments are superior. Only upside of the Armor All is that it is slightly more compact. The Shop Vac one has a slightly higher profile, but the wheels can be removed to make it smaller (comparable to the height of this one, the Armor All one).Love this one, great product and value.

The Mighty Mite
I should start by saying that I have all hardwood and laminate flooring with a few rugs and I only use these machines for general cleaning in the house. This is my second All Around Shop Vac. The first - their smallest model - lasted through 7 years of household drudgery until the motor died. I bought this slightly larger model and am just as satisfied. I have several other vacuums - all very well known makes including a robot vac and all good in their way - but this is the go-to machine for general cleanups. It has a powerful motor so produces great suction and will pick up just about anything that you can throw at it. No brushes to clean or disentangle. It is light and very easy to move about with easy roll feet and a small footprint. The only downside to this new model is that it has a blower (output) as well as the vacuum suction (input) in the housing. The older model did not. As a result, I have to move or weight down anything that is likely to be blown about while using the machine. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an all around domestic machine.

Great for household use
I have pets and the fur is non stop. Perfect power suction for light material, fur, hair etc...the long cord and wheel base makes it easy to move from room to room. Multiple attachments are a bonus. Great for household use...

This is the perfect Shop-Vac. It is not a perfect vaccum though...
This vaccum has it all. A filter for dry stuff, a foam filter for wet or dry, a carpet nozzle, a dusting nozzle, and a lightweight hose that's easy on the shoulders. The 2 extensions are good, but i wish there was a third extension because i am 6ft tall and i find it just a little too small. The carpet nozzle does not stay flat when you push or pull. The carpet nozzle, with it's brushes, will push away small debris on bare floor. This vaccum is not silent, but it's not much louder than my old Hoover bagged vaccum. Casters are great, this vaccum follows me around better than any other vaccum i've tried because it is so lightweight. Even Dyson's ball does not work as well.Pros (Compared to a real household vaccum cleaner):LightweightCan be wall mounted for storageCan pick up liquidsCan be used without a collection bag for big messesCons (Compared to a real household vaccum cleaner):Hose does not swivel, no handle. Not very good at floor cleaning.Expensive collection bags (See "Shop-Vac 90660 Type LL")This shop-vac is perfect for someone on a budget, because it sucks better than a broom, but i don't recommend a Shop-Vac instead of a real household vaccum if you can afford it.

Worth your money
I have used this vacuum both in my car and house carpet (dry) cleaning. It works great and I’m very happy. I think I should have tested it for wet cleaning too. Let’s see if I do such experiment in future and will update.
