Trudeau Maison Umbria Stainless Steel Desk Mug, 15 oz, Blue

We have 4 of these and we all agree they are wonderful. Perfect size and will hold a hot beverage all day. They also work well on the dash of my truck that does not have a cup holder. Only negative is after 7 years one of our original ones cracked around where the handle is mounted and the handle broke off. On inspection discovered cracks in two other ones but after 7+ years of daily use cannot really complain but we are replacing the cracked ones. PS: We don't put in the dish washer because they will get water inside the air space.

Have been buying these mugs for years. Love that they have a wide stable base and don't easily tip over. Doesn't hold heat as long as some other mugs, but certainly good for a couple of hours, long enough to finish your drink.

OK, so it is 3 years later, but I am compelled to update. I truly LOVED these mugs that only I use and not abuse. One just lost its top as I was pouring coffee because it became so loose. The other one is leaking and loose also. Is there a gasket or something that can fix this? Very disappointed.Previous review below:I wanted what I wanted and it appears that I got just that very thing. I wanted reasonably priced, pretty, sturdy, wide thermal hot/cold mugs with no leak lids, untippable, easy to clean, and less likely to get marred and ugly on the outside. I really worked at finding these. They are all that. They even survived a large box with no packaging--not a scratch. HAPPY

This is a very nice mug to use but the handle quality is horrendous. My first one was my favorite of all my mugs. It had a good feel and appearance and keeps the drink warm or cold for a long time.I used it for about 4 months and then while washing it by hand one night the handle broke off. I liked it so much that I decided that the failure must be unusual for this product. So I ordered another one and it arrived with the handle already broken. Just bouncing around in the box with the packing material was enough to break the handle.Of course Amazon was great about refunding my purchase but I would recommend against buying this mug. 2014 Update. Tho' broken, did not throw away. Got some Goop and patched it back on. THEN, I made a bridge of Goop from bottom of handle to mug body. It's STRONG - this is how the handle should have been attached.STILL IN USE and STRONGER THAN NEW. Note the Goop bridge at the bottom of the handle. This makes the handle as strong as it should be with this second attachment point. I use this as a backup for hot chocolate and lemon tea & brandy.IF you buy this new, immediately put in that Goop bridge and it'll last forever.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *SPECTACULAR CUSTOMER SERVICE BY TRUDEAU-----------------------------------------About a year later: I dripped the lid and broke it. After some hassle research thru Amazon, got Trudeau's contact to buy a new one. Left message and they phoned back. Keeps hot coffee "drinkable" for about 30-40mn max. Loose fitting lid is the surprisingly poor element, and it will leak all over the place if tipped in the car. Worse, it will likely pop the lid off the fit is so loose, not in the same league as the fit of the old plastic mugs.With iced coffee, excellent performance with a couple if ice cubes thrown in -- they're still there after 1 1/2 hours.Nice size & 'anti-tip' low profile shape. Stainless is rugged and easy to clean [already took one jump and bounce off the floor]. Sliding lid closer is good design, but so loose that it leaks heat and fluid quickly. It doesn't keep coffee warmer much longer than my traditional plastic mugs, with the open hole. And like that, it must be pre-heated.Again, good design, poor manufacture. Given the price, its redeeming value is it's volume and low profile combo [and SS cleaning advantage]

My favorite mug for around the house. It’s very sturdy. It doesn’t tip over and super lightweight. I can’t even use ceramic mugs anymore. They’re too heavy. This is so comfortable and hold so much liquid. The top keeps it hot for a very very long time. This doesn’t fit in your car you have to get a different mug for that. lightweight I take it with me and my suitcase.

Looks good and doesn’t leak like other cups I’ve bought have. Money well spent

This mug has many positives (good shape for not tipping over, large capacity, good looks, good price) that makes it desirable, compared with other mugs on Amazon (or at least with the descriptions on Amazon).But it comes apart, just has many other reviewers have reported. The stainless steel cup, the plastic side, and the bottom base separate from each other.It is worth buying because of the positives, BUT only if you are willing to glue the parts back together when they come apart. Once you glue the mug back together, it is a very nice mug.I have bought two of these mugs. I like the positives about the mugs, but on the negative side, both of the mugs came apart and one had an annoying bulge in the base. For both mugs, the stainless steel cups separated from the plastic sides and from the bottom base. Incredibly, the parts (stainless cup, plastic sides, bases) are not glued together or otherwise held together in a way that prevents them from separating. When the mugs came apart, I had to glue them back together. Also, each mug has a screw in the center base (for what purpose I don't know), inside the rubber bottom. On one of the mugs, the screw wasn't screwed in enough, creating a bulge that made the mug wobble. In order to find what caused the bulge and fix it, I had to cut open the rubber bottom, which made the mug susceptible to leaking, so I cannot put it in the dish washer.

My wife loves her Trudeau Mug and the ease of opening and closing the spout, keeps her morning coffee warm for long periods of time.

Si buscas una taza que llame la atención o temática definitivamente no es para ti. Esta taza es sencilla y elegante. Lo recomiendo perfectamente para mantener la temperatura , sea caliente o frío, en un ambiente donde exista aire acondicionado (clima conocido en cierto lugares). Una ventaja contundente es el tener tapa, me ha evitado accidentes mayores.

I must post a rebuttal to all those bad reviews.Either some reviewers are posting about a DIFFERENT mug- a common practice on Amazon- or they have some reason to dis the product other than the actual quality. I'm posting about this Trudeau Umbria Desk Mug, Blue that I purchased last December and have used several times every day since.1. The handle breaks off? NOT this mug. Some said the handle was attached to the plastic coating. NAW. Impossible.I even packed the mug in my suitcase and went on a beach vacation. No issues with the handle.2. Water gets inside the cover? NOT in my experience. Have left the mug soaking in a sink full of dishes and no issues.3. Does NOT keep liquids hot/cold? Well I tested it. Hot coffee straight out of the pot stays nice and hot for as long as it takes to drink a mugfull. I measured the temperature drop with an accurate digital thermometer to compare against my previous thermo mug and it kept the heat longer.On the beach, it also kept my beer cold with no problems.I like this mug. It does the job. And the handle hasn't "broken off" yet. Now I'm going to put some coffee in it and forget the bad reviews.

It's perfect...travels well in every vehicle. A coffe mug is better with a handle on it for a variety of reasons...just a great travel mug.

Me gustó mucho. El color, el tamaño, el diseño son ideales para tenerla en la oficina. Conserva las bebidas calientes un buen rato. Compré dos y volvería a comprar más.
