A RIGHT GOOD READ
Can’t fault this book, gives a good account of the history of scootering and of the cultural changes in the UK.Nice text size that’s easy on the eye.A good book that can be picked up and put down without losing the story. Some great quotes that I wished I’d said. One for the coffee table.

Fabulous memories
My daughter bought this for me as a gift, I started scootering in 1981 as a 16 year old and was doing scooter rallies when the majority of mods made the transition to scooterboys. This book is an absolute must for anybody like myself who wanted to look back over a great period of their youth. A really well put together book and as I’m reading it I’m understanding everything that Sticky is saying, I even spotted a few faces that I recognised for days gone by. I’m 57 now and still scootering and still loving it but honestly I would love to be 17 again back in 1982. We’ll done Sticky, this is s great book.

Great bit of Nostalgia
Bought this for an old Mucker who did the Rallies with me through the 80's. Think this has tempted him to buy another Scoot & join me on the Rallies nearly 40 years later! Keep the Faith!

If I have to explain it, you wouldn’t understand!
Loved it!I’m not sure what any new scooterist will get from this book, nor anyone that started scootering later on.Personally my first scooter rally was 81, and having attended more rallies than I missed up to 2000 when life’s realities finally caught up with me, I could read this book and be reminded of that feeling of being there. This triggered enough funny anecdotal memories to form the basis for the next ten series of the Inbetweeners.Very factual and accurate whilst leaving out all the incriminating incidents that made my stomach muscles ache for days after. Thanks for the memories Sticky.

Not as good as I was hoping for.
I've been a scooterist since the mid 80's. If you were there too back in the 80's and 90's then the events and stories will be nothing you haven't heard about (or experienced) before, nothing you and your mates haven't talked about in greater length and detail many times already. You'll already know the Paddy Smith (RIP) stories, the Isle of Wight '86 story, the taking your L-plates off to do a section of motorway story, The VFM story, etc etc. It's a enjoyable enough trip down memory lane but don't expect much more. It does raise some interesting questions at times but they aren't really explored in any depth or detail and overall it feels a bit shallow. It's very short and it won't take you long to read at all, I can't help but think it could have been so much more. As a serious analysis of the culture I think it falls a bit short.

Brought For My Dad
Brought for my dad as a lockdown present! He has never read a book until now. Loves telling his mates all about it and has them queuing up for it after he finishes. He said it is very accurate of 'the good old days'. Thought scootering magazine was good but this is something else!!!

Scooterboys
I was looking forward to this book as I started my scooterboy journey in 1983 and this book chronicles those early years of scootering. There are more photos in this book than I was expecting, so it’s more a documentary than a story. Saying that though the photographs are excellent and bring back a lot of memories
