I’m a phone picture taker but wanted to branch out as I really enjoy photography, this camera was recommended as a good mix of SLR functionality without the bulk and it’s not disappointed.Using the scene functions primarily as I’m still learning what all the options mean has allowed me to take some amazing pictures that I would normally tweak afterwards.Not anymore.My only gripe but not enough to drop the score is the lack of USB cable to charge the battery internally and connect directly to my Mac, for he price I would have expected it to be bundled but it’s not hard to obtain.I feel this camera will allow me to grow as I learn more about photography and the device at the same time.

Absolutely disgusted with this!!! Camera arrived without the card and screen protector. Spoke to customer service whom were absolutely useless. Spoke to a Vijay sabrheao who basically told me to return it and there’s nothing he could do!The camera was a birthday gift!!!Starting to use faith in amazon and the people who work for them especially if they show no respect for their customers!!

Excellent camera with many features. Particularly good in low light levels allowing sharp photos to be taken without flash. Fixed flash on compact cameras always produce poor results so it's great to have a bright lens that captures good photos at low light. I used the camera to capture night-time Christmas decoration scenes with great results without tripod. Camera is also fast in picture capture and in multi shot use. Very pleased with this product.

Fantastic clever compact does most things SLR does - yet in your pocket ! Well made nice to learn its many features - is not a super zoom - but grat for scenes - Portraits - not made for sports or birdwatchting - but for size brilliant !!

This is an amazing little camera. Bought it as an upgrade to my phone camera and the quality is superb. Very easy to use, just keep it in 'auto' if you're confused by the functions but the versatility is excellent. My DSLR is my main camera for my work but this is so easy to use and such good quality that I'm finding I'm using it more often. Well worth the price tag.

Bought this to use instead of my phone camera. Assuming I'd get much better quality photos. I am a reasonable photographer and can get lovely crisp photos on other cameras but not on this so far. I've gone back to my phone for now.

Camera has failed after 6 months , returned to Canon to be told its a ‘ grey import’ and therefore there is no warranty . Do not buy this product !

I bought this for use underwater as it had been reviewed as one of the best point-and-shoot cameras with underwater settings on the market. Bought with Sea Frogs underwater housing. I know the Mk III is out, but for the price, this is an excellent camera. Great above water too.
