Be careful when wearing this
With all do respect I love the vest but wearing this during this pandemic causes people to judge, example I was outside at the park in Houston, I had someone probably white call police saying I look suspicious, a black man wearing this running normal like jogging, shirt on, compression leggings on, headphones on and phone on him. Please be very mindful that you let everyone knows if you running outside it's a weight vest so they wont get paranoid. So police checked by just spoke and checked with me, and it was all good, now be careful if you buy the military tan one that's what had on running in the park. The police were cool and just wanted to look at it going forward I dont want to deal with people calling police just because this weight vest.

Great vest! Don’t waste your money on the crazy expensive vests. This works very well.
I put a lot of research into this before buying a weight vest. I wanted one that sat high (didn’t want a bunch of weight on my stomach), fit snug to my chest (I wear a medium size shirt, weigh 170 and am 5’10”- meaning I am not a thick dude), varied in weight and didn’t freaking cost $200. I bought the 40lb version and ran with 20lb of weight on the beach for a few miles as soon as I received it from amazon. It stayed close to my chest and I returned from the run with no scabbing on my chest or shoulders. I have since done several workouts including rope climbs, push-ups, wall balls, and so on.....this weight vest has done very well for all of it. I am sure if you go with the $200 vest that is compact like this is that it would be comfy and easy to workout in.....I just don’t want to spend that kind of money on strapping weight to myself. I don’t know what the experience would be buying thus vest holding more than 40lbs though. With all the weight in, it stretches across my back and chest with 3-5 inches between front and back on each side. If more weight was added, it would probably swallow me having both sides touching and making it difficult to keep tight. Just a thought for those who are looking at the different versions.

Worth it.
For now, I am giving 5 Stars. This may change. Fits good for walking. I have not done any rigorous activity to find out how it will hold and how comfortable it would be. In the picture, that is a 6’1 man. In case you are trying to find out how it would fit. I may update after using it more. I like the fact that I can remove some weight if I don’t feel like carrying the whole 60 lbs.

Does the job
I bought the weighted vest to condition myself for hiking. The vest reaches to the end of my sternum which is the length I want. It's a good conversation starter. Big and tall people can use the pack.I am deducting a star because it lacked visual appeal right out of the box. The front and back of the vest are actually two separate segments held in place by Velcro and straps. I was expecting metal ingots but instead had black nylon bags filled with sand. the sewing at the mouth of the bag was loose which almost made me return it. I was also surprised that the segments were held together on the sides by a big piece of Velcro that goes across the front and loops into a metal ring. I was hoping for a more engineered fastening system. It can be difficult/impossible to do crunches and the bag will want to slide back if you don't have the weights balanced. However, after using the pack for several months, the bag has held up. the fabric is good condition but you will have square sweat areas on your shirt. I really like the faded stars and stripes look. I started at 20 pounds and worked my way to 40 pounds. I do see a difference in the number of miles on the elliptical between excluding/using the pack. For walking/conditioning, the pack will do the job. For the premium price, I wish they had thought about over-engineering some of the features.

Great vest
I searched and searched and searched for a weight vest that seemed to be good quality, a good design, and not cost an arm and a leg. I got the 40lb vest with the soft iron weight bags. I've used it for crossfit countless times and it stays where you want it and does not bounce around. Most weight vests you end up holding while you run instead of being able to pump your arms like normal. Not this vest. Most comfortable one I have worn, and for the price you cant beat it. When people see me wear it they say it looks kind of big and cumbersome, but I do not thing that at all. I would reccomend this for any crossfit athlete or any body in general who wants a great vest for a great price

Pocket is all but useless
Seems durable. The shoulders are rough. I backpack a lot. I also train with 40lbs Of sand in a backpack. The vest shredded my traps and bruised my collarbones. I wanted to use it to add weight to long hikes. I’m not sure it’s going to happen. I’ll find other uses for the vest. I can’t imagine any rigorous exercise being very comfortable. Maybe I’ll wear it while mowing the lawn.... The pocket is way to small. I could only fit a key. My phone didn’t come close to fitting. If I didn’t trash this thing with sweat I would return it.

Nice 12lb weight vest but might fit too small
I just had this delivered today and I have tried it on. Everything appears to be as advertised, however, I would caution those who wear a men's large snugly (especially if you have a big chest/upper back/traps) and I would not recommend for those who wear any tops that are xl US size - for this reason I removed a star. This 12lb weight vest has everything I wanted but it might be a problem when I first put it to use. I'm a kinda fit kinda fat guy (5'8" ~240lbs) that also trains strongman and powerlifting (and now running) so my torso is all around quite girthy. I don't want to return the product because I expect to be able to comfortably fit in this thing very soon. My goal for this vest is to help me so retain power and strength when the body weight begins to shed. I'll also look to use it with my calisthenics stuff as well.

Built well with lots of adjustments
This vest has many adjustment points on it. It takes some work to get it set up and adjusted to body type but once you do it’s comfortable to wear while working out. I run with 20lbs and it had a small amount of bounce but definitely better than some of other vests I’ve tried for running. Would buy again
