OFM ESS Collection Armless Leather Desk Chair, UNITS, Black

I have been using this chair daily, about 8 hrs a day, for one month. The material inside the seat flattened out pretty quickly. Squished. Easily evident from standing back and looking from the side, not to mention feeling the hard bottom underneath when actually sitting on it. A total waste of money. I thought a black leather chair would look good in my home office. I like the fact it has no arms -- chair arms always get in my way while using a drawer keyboard. The leather is very soft and nice. It helps to have put other furniture together because the instructions for this consisted of a list of the pieces and a couple of vague pictures that told nothing. No written instructions. I admit I like explicit written instructions. I did finally get it together but attached the back to the seat wrong first and had to take it apart and re-do. Then I attached the seat/back unit to the support/legs unit wrong (backwards) and had to wrench that apart and put back together. I wanted a flat seat instead of a curved one, which I got. For a few days till it flattened out right where I sat. Then it was curved up on each side from the flat spot. I am very disappointed. Next time I will to go a store, sit on the chair I am thinking of buying, and make sure the inner material of the seat is sturdy enough to keep its shape. I only weigh 150 lbs and the chair is supposed to support much more than that.

This is bonded leather so don't expect full grain leather for the price you're paying for this chair. If you want full grain leather, be prepared to pay A LOT more than what this chair costs. You are getting your worth for the price of this chair. The chair is very comfortable and amazingly lightweight.My one and only complaint was the instructions themselves. Where the back-rest attaches to the seat-bottom, the two longer bolts have 2 different washers. There is no explanation of where the washes are supposed to go. I asked my engineer dad, and my IT programmer geek brother who happens to work at a different office furniture supply manufacturer, and they both gave me different answers. I ended up putting them in-between the seat-bottom and the bars themselves as there was a gap there that seemed like they needed to be filled, being the bars sat on top of the seat-plate . I don't know if I did it right, but without written instructions, or any explanation in the instructions provided, or even a YouTube assembly tutorial for this model. There was no way to know while I was in the middle of putting it together. My suggestion is the company really need to explain where ALL THE PIECES should go, even if they are tiny little washers.

My husband and I live in a studio so we have a small office space that most office chairs just wouldn't fit in and due to back issues I have, the cheap little mesh ones just weren't an option. I looked everywhere and stumbled across these compact chairs and decided to give them a try.The chairs were easy to assemble solo and are quite nice looking. They are fairly comfortable and ideal for small spaces without having to resort to child-sized chairs. To give an idea- my husband is 5'11" and 260lbs and I am 4'11" and weight 196lbs. Both of our chairs hold up nicely and provide comfort the whole duration we're at our computers, be it for gaming, paying bills, or getting lost in the rabbit hole of youtube.My only complaint is the lack of lumbar support for my back issues but I remedied that with a back support cushion. All in all, a great purchase.

I bought this for my 17yr old son who is 6’2”.And at the highest setting is barely comfortable for his long legs.The lower height adjustments are useless for him as it puts his legs in an awkward position.The back and seat are nicely padded and have a nice texture, which are comfortable for his gaming.The issues we had were with assembly - little to no written instructions just illustration.The sturdiness of the chair is questionable.My son is a lean 205 lbs. and he says it doesn’t feel all that sturdy.When I searched for a chair for him, I searched for a ‘strong’ or ‘sturdy desk chair with no arms’ and it had a good average review score and was reasonably priced for the description.I would say this chair is fine for people who are 5’10”and under.Not sure how long it will work for him though...so the padded back and seat And 3 day late shipping/delivery definitely made this a 4 star review versus a 3 star review.

I have a very bad back and hip. This is a solid chair and I needed something small for the space and to pull right up to my keyboard shelf. The castors roll very easily on my rug (although that is short pile). At a touch of the lever, I can adjust in a second higher or lower. It feels really good on my back because the back of the chair does not move. It is exactly what I wanted. Others mention that it gets uncomfortable after awhile. I haven't found that to be the case. And I spend a lot of time in it. The padding is just right for my taste. Any softer, and my back will whack out. It's a great chair, the "pleather" feels great and there is nothing wrong with it. I've attached a few pictures for you to see it in my home office. I did not want some big huge chair. But if you've got a wide butt, this may not work for you! I usually will do style over function, but this serves both purposes for me. I did not put it together - hubby did and said it was extremely easy and took about 15 minutes. UPDATE: After 6 weeks and tons of hours in this chair, I LOVE IT still and it's been fantastic. I still rate it a 5 star. It is just the best and wished I had bought it years ago for my back.
