My son loves legos and adding to his regular sets. These classic brick collections are amazing and gives him the tools he needs to create the beautiful world he imagines. We have all the sets, several of a couple of them. Right now his Jurassic world is amazing and I am sure his next creation will blow my mind as well. I was a lego kid and this is something me and him love to share together.

This is a great set. Quite a few pieces, the product description could be better. I bought this for me not a child, so all the little pieces are not a problem. Bought a baseplate because I didn't think it came with any. Overall I am quite pleased with the purchase.

My granddaughter is a very creative young seven-year-old and was very excited to receive this classic box of Legos with many colors and many choices for what to build.She is always using lots of colors whenever she draws anything in fact I call her the rainbow girl and I was very thrilled to find this box also “rainbow designed”... laying the Lego bricks out in the Roy G. Biv color order. That is my review but this is what my granddaughter had to say:“Thank you, thank you grandma for my Legos.! I love them so much! I have already made three or four different things and I like them so much because the blocks are pretty and I don’t want to take them apart because I like what I made. Maybe you could buy me another box so I can begin to make a more beautiful designs. I REALLY LOVE my Legos, Grandma!”

My kid asked Santa for a Lego rainbow. I found no sets for such a thing. This was the next best thing. It allowed him to build may different things. My only complaint would be that the instructions weren’t half online. It’s much clunker than the books that come with the sets.

What can you say about Lego's that we don't all already know. EXCELLENT !!!

The book of how to make things was great but didn't have enough things to build. I had to buy additional lego how-to-build books. That being said my 6 year old grand daughter was able to build according to the instructions of the book.

Things are so much more COMPLICATED now!MY building blocks were just that - little white blocks that emulated 8x8x16 cinder blocks that you linked together to build stuff (and you made your OWN roofs out of cardstock!).Now they got Lego doors, windows, PEOPLE... Sigh...Seems like the future is unlimited and Lego has tapped into the boundless creativity of a very bright seven-year-old girl.This was purchased relatively "sight-unseen" (in person) but the photos shared by my Son displayed the HUGE box and the look of astonishment on my Granddaughter's face - before she ripped everything open, organized things in piles, and began building.Way to go, LEGO!

I counted every piece individually - and it is was exactly 1500 pieces. Pretty ingenious design. You can connect the pieces together and make sculptures out of them. Also, I like that there are different colored pieces, so that what you build doesn’t have to be all one color like some other brands. I’m surprised I had never heard of Legos until now, but assuming there are others out there like me, a review about them might be helpful.
