Easy install for Hubitat
I purchased this sensor to install in my freezer to monitor temperature. The sensor joined my Z-Wave from my Hubitat very quickly and reported temperature, Wetness, humidity and light level. I was hoping this to be a long-term solution however 25 days in my battery is reporting 25% with the hub 15 ft away. Understanding this was not the intended use of the sensor I give it five stars as others reported long-term battery under normal operating conditions.

Not responsive, hard to work with, impossible to remove
I really wanted to like this sensor, but it's very difficult to work with. First, having to have a magnet to give it commands is a huge hassle. And then, the commands don't always work. And commanding it from the Hubitat hub is not easy. Plus the battery is fairly short lived (8 months for me) and not replaceable. I now have a dead sensor and a phantom node in my HA network potential causing problems. I wish I'd never bought it.

Poor battery life and not user replaceable.
Battery life was 2 years out of an advertised "up to 10 years". I supposed 2 years is technically within the "up to" 10 years, but not up to my expectation.

Works, and works well
This little unobtrusive strip does indeed work well, and has the benefit of reporting an accurate temperature too. Though the initial pairing (at least in the case of with my SmartThings Hub) is a little finicky, it was still completed within a couple minutes of taking it out of the box. This is my first Sensative Flood Prevention sensor, but I have been using their open/close sensors for about 18 months without any issues. So far all have proven reliable and the battery life seems to be holding up as well as they claim. They fit in places others will not, or at least fit without being as noticeable. I feel that offsets their slightly above average cost somewhat. I do recommend them.

Misleading life span
Initial impressions were good, it paired early and stayed connected to my Smart Things hub. Then after 2 years dry and dark Smart Things tells me the battery is dead. Disappointed that I got 20% of what I paid for. This will be replaced with at fibaro sensor that has a replaceable battery.

Once triggered as wet it stays wet several days after
Connecting to Smartthings hub was easy. I use this to avoid water incusion in the basement from a low entry door. It was great in a recent storm and with a Smartthings action, enabled a pump as expected. However 2 days later, it is still wet as the little sponges retain water. So for my needs it's status change is not quick enough. I am not sure if removing sponges would help, a instructions show no other way to install sensor. All other features are working as expected

Works seamlessly with Samsung Smarthings
Sensor was up and running in no time with Samsung Smarthings Hub and the new app. It does detect water immediately, but be aware that it does not update temperature very often if you need that function. It claims a 10 year battery life, but I can't speak to that. After one month is says it's at 100% battery.

Great form,‘extremely sensitive, leak, temp, and luminance
About the size snd shape of cardboard fingernail file with no cords makes this easy to put anywhere. I needed a sensor under my reverse osmosis filter in the kitchen sink cabinet. There is only 1 inch from the bottom of the filter and cabinet floor, this sensor easily slipped in. The RO manufacture was nice enough to provide a free leak sensor. They were right... Good thing I was home to hear the alarm, The “easy” connectors were all to easily prone to leaking. -I’ve since upgraded the connectors. Rather than just having a useless alarm if not home, this sensor is set up to turn off the water main in the event if a leak automatically. This leak sensor is good for any flat surface a cardboard file can fit, no cords, no replaceable battery. They do includ a screw mount, you likely can mount this vertically but I’m not sure where the water sensor is on the unit. This sensor is so sensitive it can detect moisture when held un your dry hands. Is also measured temperature and luminance. This eadily paired to my SnartThings hub.I have not owned this long enough to vouch for its battery life but I have no reason to think it won’t last to at most of the 10 years they claim. All my water sensor s (of other brands) have had in readable battery life.I highly recommend this sensor snd this is on my buy again list.
