Airbrushing acrylics? When in doubt, thin it out - with X-20A
I normally have a lot of trouble getting a smooth white acrylic coat from my airbrush, even with dedicated airbrush paints or inks. This solved the problem. I used it with liquitex white ink, I've read it works well with Tamiya XF-2 and I'm sure it would work well with D&R white ink also. I anticipate much nicer zenithal highlights and OSL effects going forward!

This thinner works well at thinning paint for airbrushing. It works great with Tamiya acrylic paints. It sprays with no splattering or blotches on the subject being painted. I like how it works in my airbrush, with no major issues being found. I have painted several models with it and am happy with the results.

Tamiya X20A is a fantastic acrylic paint thinner for plastic models and miniatures. It thins paints much better than water alone. It helps greatly with flow and coverage. Recommended for any detailed acrylic painting.
