I really love the design of this umbrella. It feels sturdy when I open and close it, with the push of the button. I really like that feature- that I can close it with the button as well. It has a lot of force.When closed you just have to push it down from the top to make it compact again. It comes in a pouch (made of the same material) that slides over the compacted umbrella when not in use.The knob feels a little “shaky” when holding it, but doesn’t affect usage. So I will keep an updated review as I use it through the rainy season. Let’s see if the knob will give me problems in the near future.In my personal opinion, I would like to carry something a bit lighter and smaller to fit in my purse but this is so cute that I’ll make the compromise.I have used it in rain, sunshine and bright cloudy weather. It’s 100% polyester, so it’s probably minimal coverage for UV but it shades me and protects from rain as any other umbrella. I get tons of complements and many people ask where I got it.

I bought this a few of years ago in such anticipation of a rainy day. I live in southern ca and even though we were in the middle of a 4 year drought, i had faith. And so I waited and waited over a year to use it, I got an email asking how I liked the umbrella and was so sad to tell them I was waiting to use it. So now here is my review. I can say that I get compliments on this umbrella anytime I use it. It is very sturdy in all aspects. It makes you feel like a smart, stylish and prepared person when using it. It makes rainy days brighter because you have your own Sunflower shielding you as you take on that rainy day. Thank you whomever designed this. It is beautiful and I want to get a purple one and others. Sad we do not get too much rain where I live, but It is there waiting to make a rainy day a special day for me! Excellent choice! Surpurb customer service too!

I was kind of hesitant about buying the umbrella at first but I couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm so happy I did. I absolutely love it. It's the perfect size. I love how you can push the little button to open and close it. I've used it several times in the short time I've owned it due to lots of rain in our area recently. It's held up amazingly well so far. Hopefully it continues to hold up bc I do adore my new little umbrella.

There is every reason to buy this particular umbrella. It's aesthetic and comes in a multitude of creative colors and designs. It works well without a doubt in the rain and the circumference is more practical than my former fit-in-your-purse style. It flies open at the firm push of a button. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is this product should come with advisory instructions [yes, an umbrella with instructions] to alert you to the brisk opening and closing of the umbrella; but more importantly to the fact only the top half umbrella stem closes automatically and then you have to physically, with some effort, push the two ends closed securely. I was not expecting to have to do this and was surprised at the effort required, but now that I've figured it out there's no problem. I would highly recommend this umbrella.

I received this umbrella yesterday and am really, really pleased with this product. It immediately feels sturdy and the fabric and other materials seem to be of quality. The slip is easy to take off and put on again, and the grip is comfortable. There is a button that both extends and retracts the umbrella. The only bit of real force you'll need to use is for pushing the parasol back towards the grip, but it does not require too much at all and only makes the product feel more sturdy.The only reason I am giving this product four stars instead of five is because I haven't had the chance to actually test it in the rain. But given the current feel, I'm sure it'll do just fine!Overall a great buy, well worth the price, and extremely beautiful. The pictures shown for this product don't do its beauty justice!

I shopped a while for umbrellas and settled on this one because it's so cute and unique. It came with a carry bag and has vivid color. The push button to open and close is convenient. It won't last long in the winds where I live (normally 20-40 mph but often much higher).The day I bought it I asked by husband, "There's a $22 umbrella which is tested and guaranteed to withstand high winds, and can also flip inside out and back without breaking. Or there's a $16 umbrella which looks like a giant sunflower. Which should I get?" He looked at me and answered, "You know you want the sunflower. Just get it." Which sums up exactly the reason I chose a beautifully unique umbrella over one which would last years, because sometimes you just want what you want.

I was surprised by this umbrella. It's cute, the print was good quality and the umbrella was reasonably good quality for the cost. I'd buy it again if I needed an umbrella any time soon.

The design is gorgeous, I was looking for a yellow umbrella and this is more creative. This is the first umbrella that I've owned that when you push the button it both opens and closes so I really like that since I'm so used to manually pushing up to open. However, when it closes it doesn't come all the way back down so it takes quite a bit of strength to pull it back from 20 inches back to 11 inches. I also realized that you actually have to manually pull it back down; otherwise, it won't open again when you press the button. I made the mistake that since it was in the extended position at 20 inches, and the button wouldn't open the umbrella, that I manually pushed it open and it sorta messed it up a bit but now it's fine.

Feels really sturdy and has done well in the recent heavy rainfalls in Sydney.

It holds up to strong Sydney winds. It's heavier than the average umbrella, but compact. It doesn't break in gusts of wind like I see happen a lot with other umbrellas. Plus, its such a cute design!

Very good item

I bought this a few days ago but didn't have a chance to use it until today, other than opening it once to test everything was fine. It was a mixed day today: sunny, showery, a bit gusty at times, the usual for England. The first time I used it and was folding it up I saw that one of the spokes had snapped right in the middle. It was a bit blustery on the way to the shops but nothing out of the ordinary. My last plemo survived almost constant use for over 3 years but it was a man's black version, and as I suffer from depression I wanted something more colourful to lift my spirits. Now I'm wondering why women's umbrellas always seem flimsier than men's. After all, it rains just as hard on us as it does on them... lol.I love the look of this umbrella and so I've arranged a return and ordered another in the hope that this is a one-off. I'm going to be outdoors a lot in the next few days and I need a brolly I can rely on. Or else I'll have to resort to a huge golf umbrella that's too cumbersome to carry for long. Or just get wet until I can afford a Blunt!So it's a 3 for now because it broke, but my past experience with plemo has been good, and I hope this is an isolated case. I'll update this depending on how the replacement does.

This is the most gorgeous umbrella, had it for a few weeks now and used it almost every day (unfortunately). It does all the things it's supposed to, automatic up and down is fast and smooth, very sturdy, even in strong winds (though I didn't try it in the gale force storms we had recently), easily big enough for two to shelter under, will fit into a large handbag. But the best thing is the design, makes you smile and think of the sun even in the rain, I've never had so many strangers smile at me or ask where I got it. Love it!!The only thing that would make it better would be to have a case with a short clip on strap to hang off any handbag (had one for a previous umbrella) otherwise it's just about perfect.
