Beware -- Deceptive Advertising. Item is not galvanized as described.
Beware -- Deceptive advertising. Northern Industries states that the trap is galvanized after welding, etc., leading you to believe that it is totally galvanized, but it is not. There are many, many areas on the trap that are not galvanized at all and dozens of the welds were not even cleaned off and still had a lot welding carbon present. This is unfortunate because otherwise the trap is actually made of a good gauge of wire and is strong. I have 2 Havahart traps that are 20+ years old and they have been used outdoors in winter and summer and snow and rain for many years and they are still in working, serviceable, and have minimal rust. This Northern Industries Trap will rust away in no time at all. In addition, I called Northern Industries and left a voicemail message with my name and number and they never returned my call, which is not a good sign either...
