After looking everywhere for polished rocks of the perfect size for my small 3 gallon planted fish tank, I was about to give up . I had purchased some at a local store and had to return them because upon opening the bag the rocks smelled and felt like some chemical had been added to them to make them look shiny, therefore making them unsafe to use for my fish tank. So when I found those I decided to take the plunge . They are nice-looking rocks of miscellaneous color, very shiny / well polished and although I cannot say whether they would be good to paint on, they certainly have done a great job in my fish tank! When I open the box and inspected them they felt clean - as in not coated with any sort of chemical or oils - and after rinsing them thoroughly I felt confident about placing them in my fish tank . I would recommend this seller and the rocks.Please see attached photos to get a visual as far as size, color and texture of the rocks I received...

They are described as being smooth, but they look & feel like they're polished, and that's a very big plus! They're absolutely beautiful, smooth as silk. Some have posted pictures of what they received, saying they weren't as pictured. I believe there must have been a error in filling these orders, as the rocks I received are exactly as pictured in the description. I love them and will probably order more.

I ordered two bags of polished river rocks to use as substrate within my aquarium. In the attached photo, the two bags of rocks were combined, rinsed, and weighed. This weight may be inaccurate however, as I used a simple bathroom scale, and did not zero out the bucket's weight.The rocks are glossy/polished, so I'm not sure why they are advertised for painting... but they work great for my purpose. Just wish they were a little less expensive or you received more rocks.

I bought this to use in a terrarium with miss and succulents. It is a big terrarium with legs to be used as an end table. This package of rocks was delivered quickly and the rocks themselves are very nice looking, exactly what I had hoped for, there just wasn’t many of them. I probably could have bought two packages instead of just one, there were maybe 15 stones about half the size of my palm.

Rocks were beautiful and our church group (kids and adults) loved the variety. However, the description is 4 lbs of rocks. I ordered two bags and was disappointed in the quantity. I didn't have a chance to weigh them as I needed them that day. I just weighed them (they have been painted) in the Amazon box they arrived in. They weighed a little over 6 pounds - not the 8 pounds of rocks I ordered). I've contacted the seller and hope they do the right thing. Will update if they do.

I was pleasantly surprised on how beautiful these rocks were. They weren't regular stone material...but more like a quartz material. So the colors were so beautiful and shiny. They were also very large and perfect size for scaping my 5 gallon tank and which I will house a Betta in in the future. It was everything and more!

Great rocks, lovely colors and they’re perfectly polished. But there is no way this bag of 15 or so 2-inch decorative rocks was 4 lbs. I wanted to line the garden of my (very small) townhouse, and now I have to buy another 2 or 3 packs of these to make it happen. It’s about 17 stones, tops, for $18.00 plus shipping. Just keep that in mind. Really do appreciate the quality, though.

Our cats were chewing the filler that came with our plant style litter box so we needed to find something else. These river rocks were absolutely perfect! One bag filled the base area where you insert the plant. Love the look! :)
