This is a stunning pitcher. I believe it would work to flavor water with fruit, veggies, or even to make iced tea using loose tea. However, it is also extremely tall and would not fit in my fridge. For this reason I returned it. Make sure your fridge can accommodate the height before ordering. If you have space or just want a pitcher for serving guests, get this pitcher! It's lovely. Hopefully the manufacturer will come up with a wider, shorter version of this pitcher to fit in a standard fridge in the future. I'll be the first in line to purchase it. I had visions of a perpetual pitcher of flavored water in my fridge to replace my diet soda habit. Sad it didn't work for me.

The design is beautiful to look at, but when filled, I find it to be not well balanced. I have to hold the handle at the bottom to get a nice pour stream, instead of in the middle as one may expect. The silicone boot at the bottom is a nice feature to prevent slips on smooth surfaces, and removes easily for cleaning.I have only used the top in the strainer position, and find that it prevented pulp and such from releasing into the glass. A side note, if muddled herbs are used in your infusion, the leaves and tiny pieces may clog the strainer. With regard to the top itself, I was surprised that it is a little too easy to remove from the pitcher. For that reason, I do not have full confidence that the lid will not suddenly disengage while pouring, and usually keep a finger on the top to prevent accidents.Although the pitcher fits comfortably in the bottom shelf on the fridge door, sometimes, when removing the pitcher, the boot is caught by the shelf lip and remains in the fridge. Imagine my surprise when it banged on my granite surface! In summary, both the lid and the boot should be a tad bit more secure. I'd rather be able to place the pitcher on a shelf, but my shelves are not this tall. Measure the space you plan to store it in.I was glad to see that it is made from borosilicate and not plastic. I want to be able to infuse not only with fresh produce, but also with essential oils, and a glass container is a must.With regard to infusing, I am happy with the volume held by the pitcher, and the ease of filling and cleaning. The pitcher is very attractive, but for the money, I want to love its functionality more. I felt good that my purchase support GROSCHE SAFE WATER PROJECT. I would not choose this pitcher again, perhaps another Grosche design. Too many demerits in ease of use and confidence in the integrity of the boot and lid.

The pitcher is absolutely gorgeous and the craftsmanship is superb. You may want to double check the height dimensions of this product just to make sure it will fit in your refrigerator. It only fits on ONE of our refrigerator door slots, but that works for us--so just measure that it will fit or you might be surprised with how tall it is. I wish it was just slightly shorter and perhaps a little wider to compensate for the proposed height decrease. I have medium to small hands and I can actually fit my hand inside the pitcher mouth to wash it, but I suspect some of you won't be able to. The pouring spout is a little bit small. In combination with the cap design the flow rate can be slow (not a big deal). Also remember that it indeed has a 1.5 L capacity so this might not be the biggest pitcher for larger families, but for just me and my wife it's great. I suspect if you're looking at this review then you're interested in it because of its beautiful design. If you want just a regular plastic pitcher, then there are a lot more cheaper designs out there. Hope this helps!

This is great! It arrived very quickly and well packaged. The glass is very sturdy, yet is fairly light. I put some water and lemon slices into it, and put the lid on. When I pour it with the filtering opening, none of the lemon gunk comes out. I don't like pulp of any kind, so I was somewhat worried if it would keep all of the stuff out. But after pouring my water looked nice and clear, with a hint of lemons. There is also another wide opening for pouring out everything, which I didn't realize when I read the description of this. The silicone at the bottom is removable, which is nice. I like that it protects the bottom of the pitcher but I do notice it sometimes makes it a little hard to move in my refrigerator. But I prefer having it on so that I don't have risk scratching the glass. It's also a very nice size; I don't need to refill it that often. I also like that the silicone around the stainless steel cover is glued to it so it doesn't come off. A wonderful pitcher, I'm very glad I bought it.

Love this water pitcher because of it's generous size. We use for infused water and I keep refilling once the pitcher is half full. The silicon cup on the bottom helps hold the pitcher in place (no sliding from condensation) and protects from hard surfaces like stone countertops but can be removed for cleaning. The pitcher fits nicely on the top shelf of our refrigerator and in the door (other competitors were too tall or wide). The glass is borosilicate so can withstand warmer liquids (although I'd cool really hot/boiling liquid first). The glass is a nice weight - the bottom is not as thick as their smaller version w/no handle but the silicon cup helps). The handle does feel thin so I am careful when I pull the pitcher out of the refrigerator and usually use two hands. We use this for infused water - the top has has 3 options; open side (free flowing), gridded side (so that particles won't get into your glass) and a closed side. However, the closed side does not entirely seal the contents so I would not store w/perishables like milk.

I use this everyday and it's not heavy even though it's glass. It looks pretty and holds a lot, I use it every day. We experiment with different flavors, good way to use leftover fruits. My only concern/question would be how long will the silicone ring on lid last? I Love the fact that it contributes to a good cause and glass. I also really like that it is tall and slim so it doesn't take up room in my fridge.

This is the best pitcher I could ever have bought, great size, height, and less chemicals included that the average, it's all about strong glass, stainless steel and a thin inner silicone around the lid. The black silicone at the bottom prevents it from breaking. None of the other brands have offered anything like this. It works fantastically, I wanted to buy another one, but just found out that Amazon doesn't know if it will be available or not ever, Amazing quality products like this should be always sold in Amazon. Please bring it back

This jug looks create and gets lots of compliments from guests. Just slightly too tall to fit in the dishwasher. But lovely. The base feels very sturdy.

Was really trying to replace a few crappy ones we have had over time. We came across this one and although we wish it was larger it functions very well and looks great on the counter. We use it everyday for 'fruit infused' water and we like it very much. It is also easy to clean.

I’m happy with this product. The glass feels sturdy, it’s simple and easy to clean. I really like the rubber on the bottom to avoid setting it down too hard on the table. It’s also good for condensation. Overall happy, and even more happy that the purchase supports a great cause
