The Maqui berry (pronounced mah-key), is a vibrant purple super-fruit growing prolifically in the wilds of the Patagonian region of South America. This berry, also known as Chilean Wineberry, contains the highest anti-oxidant value of any known berry. It is said to have up to eight times the anti-oxidants of Acai berries. Our berries are picked from the wild temperate rainforests of the Chiloé Island in the beautiful Patagonia region of Chile. Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon until 1972, is a tropical Island off of the southeastern tip of India. This island is known for producing gourmet black tea, with the appellation "Ceylon Tea" still in use. However, we have also found the rare green tea produced in the Badulla District of south-central Sri Lanka to be some of the finest green tea we have ever discovered. This hand rolled Ceylon green tea has a bright and fresh flavor, and is less grassy and vegetal than most green teas but packed with all of the same green tea goodness.
