Holy Grail in America

I originally watched this on The History Channel and was so impressed that I decided to order it on dvd. They cover a lot, from the Knights Templar to the Micmaq indians,Vikings and ancient symbols. It's worth owning the dvd just to be able to reference the many plot lines over history that seem to intersect.Being of Micmaq or Micmac origin, depending on your preference, I was captivated by the theory that the Knights Templar launched 11 long ships with treasure when they were under attack in Europe and brought it to the East Coast of America, probably New Brunswick or more likely , Maine.If that is true, then perhaps the world's most lucrative lost treasure lies within the state of Maine. It was money well spent on this dvd and I encourage anyone reading this to order their own keepsake copy.

So much of what we think we know is changing SO fast. The History channel is playing it's part in that unfolding process admirably. Our perception of the world is dependent on integrating the information we have about it. Change the information, and the world is magically transformed. I thought for the greater part of my life that the West was all cowboys and indians and now I get hit with this! Reviewing history in the information age sure is a wild ride.I particularly enjoyed this presentation being so comprehensive. It was like watching a good mystery movie with more than a few twists and turns along the way. Very entertaining and informative. Even if you just have a passing interest in the Templars this thought provoking presentation is well worth your time and money. I wouldn't say the same for 'The Rosslyn Frequency.' (NOT a History Channel offering!)- take a pass on that one.I've found so many History Channel productions to be first rate, I rarely hesitate to give them a whirl. You won't be disappointed with 'Holy Grail in America.'

The research is faultless, the story inspiring and uplifting of the earliest explorers from Vikings to the controversial Knights Templars and their architecture. As the story unfolds we follow the growth of a culture of the land, where the early colonists revered the ancient stone orientations and sites of the earlier cultures, making their mark, alignments and cryptic messages to develop a science of natural philosophy. This is an important illustration of the roots of our culture, how inspired devotional settlers travelled with their landscape arts and science to lay cryptic signs of their philosophy and cosmology.

did the Templar Knights really make a discovery that they deserve the credit for? this show gave amazing new insights to me and having seen a location which was chronicled in this on The Westford Knight I am really intrigued to learn more about this supposed marker which shows a knight and about the knights if they did indeed make it to America first. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to learn more.

Interesting and thought provoking, whether or not the grail was brought to North America the evidence for the Vikings visiting is strong. A good story and worth watching.

Very interesting & well done documentary. There was a little too much emphasis on the "Holy Grail" link--that was a stretch. The historic value of the rest of the film could stand on its own without trying to inject some mysterious connection to the "Holy Grail".

We watched this on television and knowing how a friend would have enjoyed it we searched for the title and Amazon came up trumps with the DVD.We had to play it on a portable player though being as it is in an American formatThere are so many mysteries and tales woven round the known history of the Templars that it was easy to think that this was just the Americans getting in on the act but this film is thought provoking and very interesting indeed taking known Scottish facts into account.A good film well made and another layer to add to the Templar story .Very enjoyable.

This DVD from the History Channel is absolutely EXCELLENT for discovering the True History of the courgeous Men Who Really Discovered North America and the Correct Dates as to when these dicoveries actual took place.The Kensington Rune Stone, the Spirit Pond Rune stone and Many other ancient Rune Stones have been discovered and dated in North America, using our Modern Scientific methods. Scientists used Scientific methods by figuring out the weathering age of the actual stones and the carbon dating of artifacts found in close proximity to the stones. The inscriptions on the Kensington Rune Stone were Double dated as 1362. The Anicent writings/codes used were from ancient Knights Termplar codes. These codes/ deciphers were discovered in the late 1800's. They are called the Larrson papers and the Easter Table. These anicent deciphering tables were used to determine the exact meaning of the inscriptions on these stones. For example: On The Kensington Rune Stone they had the Letter R with double dots above it. They had the letter X with a Hook on it. This type of decoded writing was used in the 1300's by A certain reglious order and by the Knights Templar. The ancient adventurers, purposely used a double dating method. If for example: one date was in some way altered, obsured, or scratched Off, the other date would remain. We use the same method today when we write down: 1978, or the year, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy Eight or 2012, or we can write the date in the long version, the year, Two Thousand and Twelve. This DVD is jam packed with Accurate Historical information presented in the format as an extremely interesting Movie. This DVD is a Must watch for anyone truly interested in the Real History of North America. If you are interested in the origin of the Real People who actually settled on our North American continent, buy this DVD, you will Not be disappointed. You will discover by watching this DVD that the Dates of our North American ancestors arrivals, here on this continent are much, much earlier than what is currently recorded or acknowledged in our North American main stream, History books. After watching this DVD you can do your own research regarding all the topics and subjects discussed in this DVD. I have personally done further research on the Kensington Rune Stone, and the Spirit Pond Rune Stone and All information presented on this DVD is correct and accuate.
