Should of looked for a bigger version!
I bought this but looking back now, I should of bought the 6.8 lbs jug instead (better quantity/price ratio). I used up the entire 5 1.5 oz packages in one day and didn't spray every weed I had in the yard (I had a lot). It works really well and killed most of the weeds it touched (about 95% of them). I went back with a different Roundup spray to get the remaining (since I was out of the Quikpro). I noticed that this product had a bit of difficulty killing tall plants (2'-3' high) located in a shady area between the trees at the edge of a small forest (they are still alive after two sprays + regular roundup spray). I am not sure if its because it doesn't get a lot of sun in that area or if the plants are very resistant. I bought the 6.8 lb jug and will try again for a third time. I looked up the active ingredients and it seems that most of the other Roundup consists of something called glyophosate in varying percentages (around 50%) but Quikpro has about 73% and almost 3% of Diquat (which the other Roundup products don't have), so it seems that this is the more powerful version of Roundup? I don't know but it seems like it on based on the ingredients. I notice a lot of people say that Roundup is better than Quikpro but they are made from the same company and have the same ingredients except Quikpro has more of it and an additional ingredient... so I don't really understand their logic... anyhow, I think it is a great product and most of my weeds are dead... either way both Quikpro and Roundup are very good against weeds but I would recommend perhaps something more powerful (of which I don't know what) against taller plants (or keep spraying it over and over and hope it kills the plant eventually - which is something I rather not do)...

Works well, but slowly, and not for woody plants
I agree completely with one of the 5-star reviewers; except I wouldn't give it 5 stars. This product is SUBSTANTIALLY slower to act than the Round-Up liquid concentrates, even on grasses. In particular, it will not knock down weeds in 24 hours as indicated on the cover photo.To get it to work more quickly, I have to dilute it at a higher strength than recommended. It DOES work eventually, but it's slower. So wait a week before deciding whether to do a repeat application. If you get too impatient, you'll just waste product. This would be good for Monsanto but not for your wallet.Would I buy again? Yeah. Mainly because I like the way it stores and mixes. Single-use packets of solid material are safer to handle. And it's relatively cheap.BTW, if you want to effectively kill woody plants (poison ivy, wild blackberry, tree suckers, etc), you need a product with 2,4-D or triclopyr in it. You CAN kill poison ivy with glyphosate, but expect repeat applications at a higher concentration than recommended on the label of this product.Edited July 2013: I bought another box of this product and this second batch seems to work faster. I sprayed it this morning and a lot of stuff is already starting to wilt and turn brown. The weather has been hotter today -- in the 90s -- so that may have been a factor. Draw your own conclusions.

"PRO" = PROlonged
I have been spraying weeds and brush for years. I have used many products and found that I generally prefer the concentrates, like this Roundup QuikPRO, that I can mix and use in my own handheld sprayer over buying the premixed varieties.Sadly, of all the herbicides I have tried in the past 5 years, this Roundup QuikPRO was one of the worst performing products I tried!Perhaps it was the batch I received, but for being touted as a "PROfessional" product and "non-selective", the results I experienced among a variety of weed types and grasses found on my property was less than satisfactory. Even after TWO complete treatments, opting for a higher concentration the second time!Ultimately, I had better results using a pre-diluted bottle of regular Roundup that a neighbor brought over after seeing my poor success with the QuikPRO. In return, I gave the neighbor a packet of this to try and he also reported negligible success after a week.I then gave my dad a packet to try at his house and he said everything he sprayed turned yellow and brown, but was green again within 4 days...including the weeds!Bad batch or bad product? In my opinion, there are too many products out there that DO work to risk more money giving this one another shot.Like I said, it's possible I got a bad batch somehow. The product was purchased new and it was not even close to expiring. Three of us tried it and none of us had success, so I can't readily recommend it.That said, the large number of positive reviews indicates that it does work for a lot of people. If you do buy this product, I wish you luck!If you found this review helpful, please let Amazon know by clicking the "Yes" button below. Thank you!

This stuff WORKS!
I have wasted a lot of money buying the "professional" RoundUp at the big box stores. The concentration of the active glyphosate ingredient in this Quik Pro is 71.4% which is several times more concentrated than the liquid versions. I have a small bermuda lawn that has been hard hit by winter weeds - henbit, ground clover, purslane, spurge, thistles, and just about every other broadleef and grassy weed you can think of. I can mix up a couple gallons of this in my pump sprayer and spot spray the weeds. Within a couple days the easiest ones have already yellowed substantially. Some of the tougher ones take a few days longer - but within a week, they are all DEAD. By far, this is the best stuff I've ever used. The dry granules are convenient for mixing in one gallon increments and this price is less than half of what I paid at a local lawn and garden supply. (I only wish that they would cut you a little break on shipping when you order multiple boxes instead of charging the full $4.99 shipping for each box.)
