There's a lot of weird reviews on this teapot but I think they're mostly from people who don't know what an iron teapot is and how it's supposed to be used. Although you CAN put it on the cooktop, that's not how it's supposed to work. You heat water in something else (I use an electric kettle) and then pour the water into this pot with the tea-leaves.I wanted a pot that was big enough to get 2 large (16oz) cups of tea out of it and this is that plus some more. The first cup is piping hot and the cast iron keeps the tea warm enough that the second cup later is still warm enough to be enjoyable. The enamel on the inside was smooth and consistent.And though it's rated at 900ml I was able to fill it with 1200ml of water with no spilling. It easily takes the entire liter of boiling water from my kettle.

The knob on the lid was broken so I improvised by gluing on a wooden bead. Otherwise it's a fine pot. I use it every day and so far has required no special care to maintain.***UPDATE***Since writing this review the seller reached out to me and offered a partial refund for the broken knob. I gladly accepted for an updated review. I appreciate good customer service so "5 Stars" for that, but because that little knob is so fragile due to the material used I can't in good conscience give a full 5 stars for the product. That said, I do love this sweet "little" pot and I do use it every day to make my tea.

Tho this kettle was beautiful and felt sturdy, it was much smaller than I'd expected so I returned it.
