Delicious tea! Very tasty with the addition of powdered coconut milk, too!
For severe anxiety disorder, I’ve been taking tulsi (holy basil) supplements for a while now, and this does actually work to take the edge off. I can feel the difference in my anxiety if I inadvertently skip a day, so I’m careful not to forget. ;) So when I spotted this Tulsi tea blend, I was eager to try it!It’s delicious all on its own, and the flavor and aroma reminds me of an Earl Grey tea but a bit lighter, and with an added hint of lemongrass and a refreshing, slightly minty aftertaste. Adding just a 1/2 tsp of sugar and a tiny scoop of Kos coconut milk powder (stirring/blending well with a fork or milk frother to incorporate the powdered coconut milk) makes this tea taste absolutely amazing! It’s such a nice treat, and most importantly I appreciate the benefits of the additional Tulsi.I’m severely allergic to chamomile (anaphylaxis) and a bit sensitive to ginger (increased heart rate), and I already drink WAY too much hibiscus tea every day, which can potentially lower blood pressure too much if one drinks to excess.... so it’s been difficult to find a relaxing tea to enjoy in the evening that doesn’t contain any chamomile, ginger, or hibiscus in the blend. This is wonderful, and I’ll definitely purchase more when I run out!

I wasn’t sure at first- UPDATED
Second update: I dumped the tea from the cardboard container into the other tin I have. Today, I was going to brew the first cup with the new order and I saw something in there that was too green to be any of the tea ingredients. Upon loser inspection, it was a a dead exotic beetle of some kind. I can only imagine that this kind of beetle is native to India, and I understand that this is a thing that probably happens routinely with loose leaf tea and it is only a little green beetle body (no head), but I’m confused about what to do now, since I have no idea if there are other bug parts in there potentially and whether those bugs are poisonous to accidentally make a tea with. Geez... I guess I’ll probably try to get a refund.UPDATE: Pretty disappointed on my second order of this tea. While the first came in a lovely metal can that sealed and protected from the environment, the second came in a cardboard tube with plastic on either end. The plastic in the bottom is actually just stapled on. Not only can I not imagine the tea would stay fresh in that kind of container, I am disappointed additionally because the product is advertised as coming in the tin. It’s what I was expecting and part of why I made this purchase. If I were looking for tea in a plastic and cardboard container I could pay less elsewhere for stale tea. Below you’ll find my original review, and I will update when I open the new tea once I’ve assessed its freshness. The tin is really cool, and has another tin lid inside with a little pull knob. I love tea that comes in a reusable tin. There was no plastic on this tin or packaging around it, whatsoever. When I opened it up, I found that this tea literally just looks like a dusty pile of old sticks and leaves, and is not presented in neater twists or chopped pieces like you see with boutique loose teas. The sticks threw me off a little, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. When brewed, however, it was nice and smooth and only a teaspoon is needed to brew a large cup.It definitely has an earthier taste than other tulsi blends I’ve tried, but is pleasant with a little bit of honey added, and it is POTENT. I felt about 60% more relaxed after drinking it. Tulsi is one of the only safe herbal supplements I’ve found that really calms my nervous system if I remember to drink the tea everyday, so to find something with minimal packaging that is great quality is a nice thing.

I may be received a bad batch..
I really didnt want to give an average rating for this tea but I may have received a bad batch.. There are no leaves at all. It is like full of a dust. I order this tea first time with Spearmint from The Tao of Tea however the Spearmint tea is my second time ordering it and I could clearly differentiate the quality of the product from the one I received second time and first time. This time, Spearmint tea was full of big leaves that I was shocked when I saw it because the first tint was just like this Ayuverdic Tea, full of dust and powder. I thought that was good but my second order tells me this is how it supposed to be. Tint is full with big leaves. This Ayuverdic tea is just like my first order may be even more powdery so I dont get to experience the full flavor of this tea. It is like the end of the batch or something so i can see the inconsistency looking at the each tint I received different times.tints. I hesitate to order again. :(

Finally, an herb tea that tastes like the real thing!
I had this tea in a local restaurant a couple of times and asked where I could get some. To find out that it’s easily available was a happy realization! I sent some to a friend who’s addicted to iced tea because he has kidney issues and caffeine isn’t good for him. He wrote back that he loves the tea, and will hopefully drink this instead forever. Love this tea!

Terrific flavor!
I don't know that I've quite found my zen yet, but this tea has a very lovely, mild flavor with just the right hint of mint. I drink a cup daily and try to follow the meditative suggestions. It makes for a wonderful afternoon break or evening relaxation!

this type of tea is perfect for a strong cup of liquid calmness while green ...
I cannot explain this tea... it is very different, takes some getting use to , but once you do it's very enjoyable. As someone who drink more than five cups of tea a day (green, oolong, rooibos), this type of tea is perfect for a strong cup of liquid calmness while green tea is a more settle cup of liquid calmness. For the price and the insane amount you receive, I have no complaints.
