Veey thin which makes it easy to use in summer. Not waterproof but comfortable to use. And the better part is does not close the neck which is very comfortable in kitchen heat. Pure cotton.

I tried buying apron but all were thin and soft .This one material is bit thick not more but stiff and full cotton.Looks really decent and servers purpose.
