Vasilisa the Beautiful: Russian Fairy Tales

Don't get me wrong this is nothing to do with the book. When I purchased the book for 1500 bucks I was expecting a beautifully binded colorfully illustrated hardbound book. This was one of my cherished fairy tale books in childhood however unfortunately it got destroyed in a fire. I eagerly waited for the package for 15 days and when I finally opened it ...all i found was a paperback version with black and white cheaply printed images from the original book - EXTREMELY SAD & DISAPPOINTED !!!Suggest download it free from the internet than spend your hard earned money on this book.

Format:hardcoverFeeling fortunate to have this original 1981 edition by progress publishers...lovely colourful illustrations....brings back so many memories of my childhood. It is a used copy but in fine condition.Go for the hardcover and not the paperback which has same text but pictures are all black and white

This is a fantastic book, i hv read it when i was very young & i was looking for ths book from a long time. When i saw it on amazon, i ordered it instantly. The book is awesome & amazon services are also satisfactory.

First let me be clear. The one star is not for stories. Its for the printing quality of this book.This book ruined my childhood memory. When I was a child I read this book. It was a colorful book with nice drawings. I wanted to buy one for my daughter. After searching through Amazon I found the title and I ordered the book. I was hoping to share my childhood memories with my daughter However the book was printed in very low quality paper, almost like the book was printed using old days mimeograph machine. Also all the colorful drawing/ images turned into black and white. The size of book was also small compared to my book from several decades ago. I used to daydream after reading stories and seeing images in that book. But I don't think this book take any kid in that road. So poorly printed.

The book was my childhood memoir..this book has ruined that feeling! It's very badly printed with literally smudged images of the scenes..none of the pictures are visiblessed..appears to be a cheap photocopy of a photocopied original book. Extremely disappointed..please do not buy!
