Been waiting awhile to get this DeSantis thumb break holster for my S&W EZ9 9mm. I believe this will become a fav holster for this weapon. Will do some break in time and leather condition to this as well. Just a small amount of softnesses is it. Don’t over do or it’s NG. Prior to all things I put a thin sock around this and slid into holster. Will see how this works out. It’s all about a preferred choice. It will take time for this to work itself into being a keeper…Most importantly is being very comfortable with the position and holster gun control. Respect this and maintain safety always.

Excellent pancake holsters
This is the 3rd one I've purchased from Desantis for different pistols. All have been excellent. A little tight at first but they break in perfectly. Outstanding.

Nice fit and finish, but doesn't conceal well
This is a nice looking holster for the Shield. You can have it oriented more upright or with forward cant since there are 2 front belt loop options. The retention strap snaps to an inner grommet. It seems to carry pretty well on the belt, but my complaint is that the butt sticks out away from the body too much and conceals POORLY. I think the Fobus paddle holster conceals better.It also feels like it pulls down, out, and away from your body (when mounted canted), not holding the pistol as tight/close to body as other holsters I've tried. And as I said, it does not conceal well at all (you need a loose cover shirt or jacket). I'd rather carry IWB appendix (with a Blackhawk Nylon #5 holster) than use this holster.If you have it on with no cant (straight up), it conceals better and closer to you, but it is harder to draw that way for me.
