Lovely book - perfect gift. It is beautifully written, full of interesting information. The photography is stunning - has certainly made me want to visit the places they mention.

I just adored this book. The photography is atmospheric and the descriptions of each pub are fascinating. This is a book that you can't put down and I really hope that George and Charlie give considerable thought to another book, perhaps casting the net a bit further than London. I live in the North of Scotland and like an earlier reviewer, I now wish to go down to London to see these historic establishments. What really annoys me is that I lived in Surrey for 6 years and frequently visited London on business and only got into one of them! A good excuse to redress the ballance.

The book is full of stunning photos of London. There are many great pubs to find in London, this book has introduced a couple of new favourites to me - it's especially good if you like really old fashioned pubs with wood paneling and a sense of immersing yourself in the past.

A beautiul book which is very informative. The photography is stunning. I am aiming to be able to tick off all the featured pubs in this book in time. Without the wish of sounding too dramatic this book takes pride of place on my book shelf.

I gave this book to my father, a retired airline Captain who has spent many a night in London, for Father's Day and he absolutely loved it!Him listing off the handful of the pubs in the book that he had been to put a huge smile on my face and prompted me to purchase a second copy for myself.Great photos and unique history make it a must have for anyone who loves London's historic pubs.
