Love this lead, it's strong and comfortable to hold. Maybe a little longer than needed for my sprocker x poodle. Had a shorter one previously and felt it was too short, never happy! My pup did almost chew through the last one when we were at the pub one night. He did have a few hours to do this and still didn't get right through, so it's pretty durable I'd say.

Sadly, though the lead is very sturdy and can't see it ever breaking, the part that makes it a slip lead does not 'bite' on the lead, so it's a good job my dogs haven't actually tried to escape from it. The loop made simply does not stay small enough to hold the dog's head. I foster dogs so a working slip lead is essential and I bought it as the one I had a decade finally broke. £6 for this not to actually be a slip lead is not really what I was expecting I'm afraid.

as a dog trainer i work wirh a variety of leads and this one is a great addition to the collection! one of my clients is a very nervous rehomed springer spaniel and this lead works really well giving me additional control when she starts getting edgy. well made and highly recommended

Excellent slip lead - I had an identical one that I bought when my Patterdale was a puppy, it was still going strong 8 years later when I lost it. These slip leads are identical to the one I lost. Very pleased, they are sturdy and well constructed. Very cheap at the price for a good product.

We use it on occasions like between the car and the beach or between the house and the field: short trips. It lasted all these months, no rip on it. The yoke to hold the slip high on the neck is still working, to my surprise, because it broke on two other slip leads from other suppliers we had, much sooner. I wish this lead was reflective. It is soft and durable. It is short enough, but then again it is handy to carry like a belt, tied around my waist, when dogs are loose on a walk :)

Ive only used this restraint once sofar and it did a good job of keeping a very large lab secure in the boot of my X3. I was slightly disappointed as I think the measurement would be the length of the lead and not the total measurement with all of the clips etc. Even then it has come up a bit short - cheated out of about 2” and we all know that size matters! If in doubt I’d go for the longer length to be sure.

Recommended by a dog trainer to prevent pulling on a walk. Looping over snout with x under chin works wonders for controlling, ensure a perfect heel and control when meeting other dogs with our excitable lab.

Loved the two tone colour. Tried all different combinations of lead/harness to get my spaniel to walk to heel, this one did the trick. I was looking for a shorter length lead as the usual ones are a lot longer which meant too much wrapped around your hand.Would definitely buy another.
