The only reason I rated this leash a four instead of a five is the size of the handhold. This is used for a small dog, but like other manufacturers, the hole in the handle for your hand for small dog leashes is too tight a space for a person with a large hand. Otherwise, the retraction and locking features work very well and are better than similar leashes I have bought from other manufacturers. It is a nice sturdy and well functioning leash.

First of all I love the color of these! Also, the handle fits nicely, the lock works well, and so far have had no issues with tangling. The girls love them because they get a little more freedom when trying to find a place to go, yet we get a little more control with the lock when they need to stay close by. Happy I chose these.

I purchased this lead to replace a 1 week old large "Flexi" lead which snapped prematurely. It seems far sturdier and able to handle the torque our 50 lbs English Bulldog can put out. I highly recommend this lead if you have a strong dog.

My 3rd one, different companies. This one seems nice and solid. My hand fits in the holder. My hands are pretty small.retracts back nice and smooth.

This leash has a good length. That's why I got it. But it the retraction snaps back very fast. It jolts my dog a bit if it was locked and then I unlock it. Also kind of heavy which I didn't like. The clasp seems like a good quality and the handle seems sturdy. But it was too heavy to hang on my hooks that I put up with command strips. Something about the weight distribution I guess.

I purchased two of these retractable leashes for our two 20 lb schnauzers. Both the handle and the cord/leash are sturdier than I expected. The locking mechanism if simple to operate. Pleased with what we received for the price we paid.

The tension for retraction on the leash I got was a little too high. Once attached to the dog's collar it already pulls the collar away from the dog, that's just a little too strong in my opinion. I am also disappointed in the "non-slip" grip. It's all still plastic with just a random bump in the handle - no rubber or anything that I would consider to be "non-slip." Overall, not what I was looking for, not a comfortable hold, and will go in the back up leash bin - not the every day leash I was looking for.
