Highly Recommend
I have heard great things about Carlson’s brand chokes from others and thought I would give a cylinder and improved cylinder a try for my Weather Orion O/U. Out of the box the chokes threw a good evenly distributed pattern at 25 yards and a slightly tighter pattern with the improved cylinder as expected. However I could not tell a difference in pattern distribution va the factory chokes that came with the gun. I have used these with clay targets at the skeet range and they perform great given the shooter will do their part. With these chokes being extended changing out tubes is a breeze as compared to flush style chokes. I would recommend these mainly because the ease of swapping choke tubes is simpler when you have something to grab a hold on.

I have used Carlson choke tubes for 30 years, and they always perform perfectly with nontoxic shot. Tubes throw true patterns with all kinds of shot, and never disappoint.

Don't skimp on choke tubes
A great choke tube can't save a lousy barrel ... but a poor choke tube can certainly ruin the performance of even the best barrel. Not only can a poorly manufactured tube result in spotty shot patterns, just a slight misalignment can send patterns far off the point of aim.I've used Carlson's tubes for years and have had zero issues. Well worth the extra $ compared to standard factory tubes.

Perfect for preparing my 12 g turkey gun for deer season and shooting 00 buckshot through. No sketchy or rough threads, even came with a choke tube wrench. Patterns 00buck tight with no flyaway shot.

Installed this in my shotgun because I felt my factory IM choke was underperforming. Was happy from the first shot. Bust clays like a full choke. Have a similar Carlson choke on another gun. Same results!
