Love this treat ball! We have a boxer - shepard, which means shes a bundle of energy. This ball works great as I put some of her dry food in it and it keeps her busy for a while. I can also say that it's pretty durable, since most toys last her MAYBE 15 minutes; an hour for those "rated for heavy chewers." Happy since this toy is still going strong almost 2 weeks later!

The product is fairly small, but perhaps there are ones for larger dogs? In the pic it's sitting next to a standard sized chapter book. I don't recall if I had a choice. Either way, it's mostly sturdy. The egg part is made of hard plastic(like top of a popcorn popper baby toy with the colored balls inside,but still harder than that). The lid is not flimsy, but still easily chewed off. My pitbull was able to fit the whole thing in his mouth. My puggle had the right idea...to roll it around and collect the goodies that fall out. I actually purchased it for my potbelly pigs, and it worked well for them also as long as they have clear area to roll it. The pigs were unable to pick it up in their mouths so when it got stuck anywhere they gave up and left it. I did notice the bottom can fill with water, and you can't take it apart so mildew is a possibility. The water enters through the slide that controls the amount of food that falls out. Otherwise, this is a decent product, and because it's inexpensive, it's easy enough to replace.

It took my puppy a few days to figure it out but now he uses his paw or his nose to rock the ball enough that food falls out. It slowed his eating down. It takes him about 10 minutes to get 1/2 cup of food out.

I needed to find a way to slow down my hounds when they eat too quickly. This is the perfect solution! I've purchased other treat balls before and they are larger but hold less food. These are easy to take apart and hold about 2/3 cup of kibble. My dogs LOVE them. The best feature is the lever that opens and closes the chamber for kibble to come out! So much easier to fill without losing kibble! I have 5 of these now!

This product is AWESOME! My smart dog loves it, my dumb (yet loveable) dog cannot work it. Haha! But it is absolutely fantastic and keeps my girl entertained. I love watching her play with it. One major flaw: she closes the latch and the treats are blocked on the way out. Make the latch tighter so she cant accidentally close it and it's and perfect! (Very minor flaw)

This has been great for keeping my pup busy while I'm out running errands. I put half of his breakfast in his bowl and the other into this toy. I only open the door about 1/4 of the way to make it more challenging for him. He loves chasing it around and batting at it. It helps slow down his eating and keeps him occupied so he stops eating the woodwork or laying on the couch. However, after a couple of weeks the door is starting to slide open during play so if I buy again I'll either buy two to switch them up or use less often to make it last longer.

LOL my dog spent the first 15 min barking at this toy. Don’t know if she was frustrated that the treats were out of reach or was scared (she is scared of her shadow). Finally after some interaction with me and the toy she got the hang of it. Loved it. I like that it is made out of really heavy plastic. Seems super durable. Happy with purchase.
